On 8/9/22 we purchased kitchen countertop from ALM. We told them we needed something fast, we just purchased the house and did not have counters or sink so time was of the essence. The salesman, *******************************, who told us he was the owner, showed us several samples, 5 of which he said was stock materials and we could get it in a week to week and a half once they came out to measure. We picked out one of the **************.They came out that Friday to measure, we asked that person when we would get the counter and he said the same. We did not get the counter until 6 weeks later. When we would call to inquire we were told it wasn't in yet. We stopped by to see what was happening and told it wasn't in yet. No further explanation. This, on a counter that supposedly was stock material. When it did finally come 6 weeks later and they brought it to install it wouldn't fit. The installer said they would have to reorder, we were not pleased. We had already gone 6 weeks without counter and sink in the kitchen. As it was they had the replacement a week later. When we received the final bill, Sept 27 (we paid half down when ordered) we called *******, whom we believed to be the owner, and expressed our frustration over the length of time it took, being told it was stock counter when it must not have been, and being told when we purchased it that we would have it in week/week half. We felt that the balance due should be very heavily lowered or excused since we we're just plain lied to so they could get the sale. He said he never told us any of that, (basically that we were lying) which he certainly did, his son was there too when we ordered it as well as another gentleman, even the person that measured said week/ week half, then he said he would have to "talk to the owner and call us back". So is he just the owner when it's convenient for him? We would NEVER have ordered this with 6 week time frame. Heard nothing until another bill today. Have never been treated so poorly.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:The ************* was NOT 9/11, that was a Sunday. What we were told at time of purchase was that what we picked out was in stock counter that we would have in approximately 1 to 1 and a half weeks after measurements were taken. This did not happen. All total took over 6 weeks for counter.

I am rejecting this response because:Couple things, we went to the store, they did not come to our home,
The fact of the matter is still the 5 plus weeks to get what we were told at time of purchase was stock material and would be in a week after being measured. We continued to call, stop in, ask where it was and got the run around constantly. We were not obviously told the truth at time of purchase, we would not have purchased if it were to take that long. After installed I called to talk about the fact that what we were told at purchase was untrue, asked to speak to ******* about this, and an adjustment on the bill,he said he would have to talk to the owner and call back. I believe he is the owner, still getting the run around.

Just a quick clarification to **************************** last response. A.L.M. always visits the home to measure and answer questions which is company policy. The paperwork states ******* (owner) was at the home of Mr. and ************************* on Friday 8-5-22. ************************ also stated that he spoke to ******* on the phone to discuss an adjustment on the bill. He spoke to **** who is an employee at A.L.M. A.L.M. completed a job and therefore full payment is expected.
