Midwest Complete Construction (MCC) replaced my roof late fall ****. Since the replacement there have been 2 leaks and damage to 2 bedroom ceilings. They repaired the 1st leak which occurred in 2021. This complaint is in regard to the most recent leak and damage I noticed Jan 2023. A leak in North end of roof resulted in water running down exhaust pipe to attic and ultimately through the floor of the attic damaging ceiling. Ceiling damage was difficult to see because it was near a dark corner in a spare bedroom. Most likely it was ongoing for the past year or possibly when the first leak was apparent in 2021. MCC claims damage was due to a leaky PVC exhaust pipe and that they would glue the pipe, which would resolve the problem. The owner took pictures and promised he would send them to me ASAP because he was flying to ******* in a few days. I waited 2 weeks before contacting him for the pictures. I was ignored after many phone calls and several emails. I then sent a complaint email to them outlining findings by 2 subject matter experts who inspected the damage. I have pictures taken by a roofing specialist and by a plumber who are independent of one another. They took pictures at separate times and came to a consensus that water would never pass through a PVC vent pipe unless it was coming from the outside. Pictures from the roof inspector included weaknesses in the roof construction on the North end of the house. The plumber's pictures and report illustrated dried water streams/streaks running down the outside of the pipe. He indicated the attic floor was damaged to the point where he could poke a finger through to the ceiling. I provided all pictures and conclusions presented by the roofing professional and the plumber to MCC in an email. On March 10th a co-owner called and our conversation ended with him hanging up on me.
