Resident called our office emergency maintenance line Saturday evening to report no hot water.  Upon responding to this request we discovered that the gas meter had been turned off.  When these apartments were rented we included the gas for both units in the rent and paid the gas bill each month.  Unknowingly to us the previous resident in unit 1 had put the gas in their name mistakenly, which resulted in it being removed out of our name.  It was discovered yesterday on Sunday August 6th.  At 8 AM this morning, we contacted ********* to set service back up in our name and they are coming out tomorrow between 12-4.

Homes now is my land lords. They have placed 3 charges on my account for animals living here that DO NOT LIVE HERE. HAVE NEVER LIVED HERE. *** told me that she has others tell her animals were living her and never called me to start an investigation or ask me what is going on. She tossed charges onto my account of almost 800$ for fees that I do not fall under per our legal contract. I had to call **** for over 4 days and leave multiple voicemails for her to still not call me and when I did call her she hung up on me twice. Refused to give me an ear and has spoken to me as of i am a child of some sorts. They have yet to finish several work orders I've put in over 10 months ago. They didn't send anyone out to fix my heater or stove until I threatened to withhold rent until it was fixed.

      Hi,

We never received the initial complaint of February 1st.  I do not see any record of that.

Yes there was a fine of $700 on the account due to 2 dogs and 1 cat at the apartment.  Additionally a $25 monthly charge.  Our lease clearly states no animals without written consent of landlord and/or pet fees paid.  ****** had admitted to having a friend over with a dog, but it was not clear who the other dog and cat belonged to.  We do not call residents to start investigations when the violate our lease terms.  **** did take ******'s call and upon threats made to our office **** had to respond that she could no longer continue the conversation and if ****** came to our office to follow through on those threats then the authorities had to be called.

I do not see any open work orders on ******* account.  The last call I see was November 27th in which we hired a furnace company to repair it with a bill dated 11-27.  There were no other heat calls on her file.

      Thanks,

      *****

There has been numerous of problems at my apartment with nothing done about it. Plumbing issues including contents of the upper apartments toilet coming up through my tub when they flush. Ive asked for screens in my windows since November of last year when I moved in. My apartment is in a secured building and my door was kicked in, vandalized, and robbed of multiple belongings. This happened September 1st while I was at my rental office paying rent. One of the maintenance men came and closed the door but nothing else has been done to it. Nobody has called me about coming to fix the door nor have the maintenance coordinator made an effort to contact me because if the past issues *** stated and no one helping. I have found a new place and dont plan on giving homesnow anymore money. I just want to get my kids in a safer house then what weve been in.

The information provided by the complaint is incorrect.  Yes, there was a plumbing issue that was reported on Sunday February 26. 2023 and a plumber was sent on February 28th to repair the issue.  Looking at all work orders for the unit, I do not see any work orders put in regarding screens.  Records show the the break-in on September 1st was reported on October 3rd and is being addressed today October 5th. Unfortunately there was a home that exploded yesterday October 4th which affected 3 of our buildings which pushed back the service to our other customers.  Rent is owed for the month of October and now a late fee has charged.  After looking into the notes on this account it looks like the complaint was upset due to a garbage bag being left in the hall in August and us asking whoever the owner was to pick it up.  She has now called our office and screamed and yelled and swore at our employees making everyone uncomfortable.  Unfortunately if this behavior continues, the authorities will have to be contacted.

Our customer *********************** signed a Crime Free and Barring Addendum agreeing that "Tenant acknowledges that Management has the right to require any of tenant's guests to leave the premises or be barred from the premises if these non-resident guests are deemed by the Management to be disruptive in any way or violating any condition of this agreement".  On April 19th, there was an incident on the premises that *****'s guest ********************* was involved with.  There was a lot of yelling and screaming and police were called for a  dispute.  This was not the first occasion, on April 3rd there was another incident of disorderly. February 2nd, noise complaint, January 29th, 911 call, and many other police calls.  We have a responsibility to enforce our lease and provide a quiet enjoyment for others.  Unfortunately ********************* can no longer be on the premises.

This company is nothing but slum lords. I lived there from 2020 to 2021. I gave them 90 day notice prior to the completion of my lease that I would be moving out. Both by email and phone to which they IGNORED and then tried to tell me they signed a new year lease in my name without my permission and when told that was not legal and they had no right the front desk woman called me a b*tch and hung up on me. I left the apartment in better condition than I got it. I have pictures to prove this. But they claimed I owed them over ***** for an entire nother year as well as "damages". I responded back if that was a true charge they genuinely believed I owed then we could go to court to which they just began avoiding and ignoring me. Now a year later they're trying to add a random **** charge to my credit report. It's in disputes. Additionally they are GROSS and do not provide safe living conditions. I moved into the building I did not being told it had both a ***** and bedbug problem. I lost thousands in trying to fortify my house against the pests. None the less my apartment had a weak spot on the floor from the ac leaking during a previous tenant that would break if you tried to step on it. Also the mail box for the building was broke the entire time I lived there. To the point the local post office themselves launch a complaint about it because they could not deliver our mail. I lost so much money having to throw my furniture away when moving out in fear of the roaches in the hallway investing them. They also consistently try to sneak random weird little charges onto your rent. Claiming it's for trash you didn't throw away or a mess left somewhere even when you did not do those things.

This complaint is inaccurate.  Unfortunately there is a criminal case and also a small claims case open regarding the residency of where *********************** resided at ************* in ********.  I do not believe the the BBB is the correct place to settle this with the other two open cases.  We found keys in the drop box on October 26, 2021.  Upon going over to the apartment the same day we found that all the burners on the stove were left open (without being lit) causing gas to pour out into the apartment and lead to the halls of the 34 unit apartment building.  The smell could be smelt from vacating the elevator on the floor of the apartment.  Our contractor immediately went into the apartment and shut off the burners to the stove and opened all the windows and contacted the police.  The case number is  21-029477.  This case was turned over to the fire department with Investigator ****** at ******** Fire Department.

Regrading the residency.  **** signed a lease on November 20, 2020 for the term of 1 year ending November 30, 2021.  60 day written notice was required by September 30, 2021.  The written notice was received  on 8-30-21 to release her from the lease as of November 30th.  The notice was not ignored and we spoke to **** several times via text, e-mail, and phone conversations.  No-one in our office called her any names on the phone.  The security deposit charge statement was sent out and the file is due to be turned over to a collection agency but has not been done due to the criminal issue.

The apartment did not have a pest control problem when she moved in and is treated regularly for preventative measures.  It was determined by the pest control company that she or a guest of the apartment may have brought them in as the surrounding apartments didn't have an issue.  She was given information to prepare for the treatment which was not completed and the behavior of her mother caused issues with the treating of her apartment.

**** does have a balance with us of $751.89 and we would like to collect to prevent a counter lawsuit for the balance.

I am rejecting this response because: I am Not *********************** nor have I EVER lived at the address on mainstreet,, nor did I have a gas stove. You have the completely wrong person. And the things on my credit report are not ME. my last name is not and has never been ***************

      Sincerely,

      *******************

      Business response

      11/15/2022

      I apologize for the confusion.

******************* signed a lease December 8, 2020 for a term of one year starting December 8th and ending November 30, 2021.  In this lease it states that a 60 day written notice is required by either party for the lease to not renew by September 30, 2021.  **** ****************** to this indicating that she acknowledged the written notice required.  No written notice was received.  After the lease had already automatically renewed **** contacted our office on October 12, 2021 to discuss doing a 6 month lease instead of a full year, multiple conversations were had regarding this, but no resolution was determined.  On December 1st we received an email that she vacated the apartment and put keys in the drop box.  The rent for the month of November was never paid and there were move out charges due to a broken toilet seat, screen door, and touch up paint and cleaning.  Fortunately we were able to re-market and re-rent the apartment in January of 2022, releasing **** from the entire term of the lease.  Regarding the ** leak, it was addressed and replaced.  There were no roaches or bed bugs in the unit upon **** moving in and I am unable to find any reports that she had any in her apartment.  We sent out a letter requesting the balance (prior to the balance being adjusted for us re-renting the unit) to her last known address and never heard back so it was turned over to the collection agency.

My name is ************************* and I have two complaints against two companies. 1). Homes ***, new address **********************************************************. 61107.and 2). ************************* ***************************************************************. It concerns me that Homes Now has been falsifying inaccurate information, when it comes to money owed of a balance for rent. Homes Now submitted inaccurate information to a collection agency, "*************************" and I spoke to a guy name **** from that collection agency. The first time I spoke to ****, he was very rude and nasty, when speaking to me. I signed my lease with Homes Now on November 6, 2019 and Moved out on May 31, 2021. Homes Now lied and said I moved out on June 1, 2021 which is inaccurate, I turned in my keys, along with my letter on May 31, 2021 in their dropbox. The apartment was vacant June 1, 2021. I screenshot the payment history from the app that Homes Now uses for tenants to pay; and they back tracked their system, to make it look like I was behind in my payments. When the pandemic hit, I was still making my rent payments out of my own paycheck, no assistance or nothing. I spoke to Gust and. **** from homes now, back in March, April, and May of 2021, and I gave them the heads up, that I will be needing to break my lease early. I told ****, that I will be needing a letter for documentaion stating my move out and so we can be in agreement. Every time I called Homes Now and spoke to ****, she kept acting like she was confused and since I moved out early, they never wanted to give me a letter. I emailed them, called their office several times; and they never once tried to reach out to me to give me a letter. I checked my credi report today and they added it, to my credit report. I told Homes Now to keep my security deposit of $730.00 in which they did and they should have added it to May's 2021 rent. I am only paying what I owe, which is $1,285.62, not $4,380.26. They backed tracked their system. Homes Now record is very inaccurate.

      Business response

Please see attached lease and statements and two letters sent out.  We did get a new system on January 22, 2021 therefore there are two ledgers that are combined.  All payments are recorded on these ledgers.  We did not lie, nor provide inaccurate information to the collection agency.  We had reduced the balance owed by $2920 due to us being able to re-rent the unit out, releasing ****************** from the contract.  No system was back tracked our our records are accurate.  Please feel free to call and ask to speak with ***** with any questions, ************.

This rental company charged me for rent and other expenses over $12,000 and this is now on my credit report. I fled this home after a domestic violence incident and I explained to Louiee the owner that I was running from my abuse partner who at the moment had a warrant for the domestic abuse in which I was the victim. Knowing this situation the company still decided to EVICT me from a home I had not habituated following the abuse. I want this removed from my credit report immediately.

      02/23/2022

Hi,  I apologize that we did not see the original message.  *********************** had signed a lease on August 31, 2015 for 2 years to rent the townhouse at *********************** until September 5, 2017.  She only made a partial rent payment of $695 in September.  One of our employees, ****** then received a text message that she had moved.  Belongings were still left in the unit and she was contacted asking her to pick them up, in which she did not.  We went through the abandonment proceedings and took back possession of the property.  ***** has no recollection of speaking to the resident.  We were not aware of any running from an abuse partner.  The remainder of the lease was $18,700, but we were able to re-rent the townhouse several month's later, reducing the charge to $2,550.  The balance on the account was $4915 and after not receiving payment was turned over to a collection agency in 2018 in attempts to collect the debt.  This is a valid debt.
