Both me and my roommate brought out vehicles into the loves park location for an estimate. The projected costs were frankly absurd, with marks auto refusing to accept parts from the customer and then upcharging the customer 2-3 times the price for the parts they want to use. Naturally i declined any service. After my roommate experienced the same issue, with them wanting to charge 1600 for a rear brake replacement (a rear brake set for his vehicle is like 250 dollars), we decided to leave a combined review for both of our estimates, instead of making two separate reviews, which we thought was generous. The only complaint in the review was about the absurd prices. The next day, i get a call from my manager at work. Someone from marks auto read my review, tracked down where i worked based on the uniform i wore to pick my vehicle up after the estimate, and called my employer, threatening to have marks auto employees review bomb my employer if i didnt remove or change my review, and asking my employer to take action against me for my review. This feels despicable in the extreme. Marks auto didnt even attempt to contact me or my roommate personally, and instead went directly for my job and livelihood. Had this been a larger company i would have just contacted corporate, but its a local business.

about 4 months ago i brought my vehicle in for repair. i was initially quoted **** and when the final estimate reached around **** i was asked if i wanted to open a line of credit incase i needed it. i said yes and applied. i was then charged ********************************************* consent. as such i challenged the statement and it was removed. now 3 months later i get a letter from marks incorrectly addressed to my father. in this it states that my dad is not only my son but that i still owe them **** even though we had already paid and been given our receipt. in addition to this they also claim that they have a voice recording of me via telephone saying that i said to charge the card. not only is ******** a two party consent state but they refuse to show me this recording despite my request. i told them if they can provide this recording saying i authorized it i will gladly pay it. however if not this is blatant credit card fraud and a violation of ******** law 720 Ill. Compiled Stat. 5/14-1, -2.
