I called Allen heating for a clean and check of my furnace in December of 2022. the clean and check went well but the tech said one of my capacitors was getting weak, I want my furnace to run at peak performance so I said to go ahead and install a new one. I did ask the cost and the tech said it would be $189 for the capacitor. this price bothered me for a few days so I checked on the part with ******* on ******** and found the part only cost $4. A$4 part for $189 dollars??? I called Allen to complain about this and try to resolve it but the owner of Allen did not even give me the courtesy to call me back. I called that business 3 times before I talked to anyone. Well as everyone knows bad news travels fast and lasts a long time!

Nov. 2 a tech came to clean the furnace; stayed 15 minutes, told me the heat exchanger was cracked (furnace bought new January 2015 from Allen Heating), $750.00 to install new heat exchanger, he had to turn furnace off because he couldnt leave it on as it was a danger. I had to pay the $89.00 charge for cleaning the furnace, even though that was not done. The furnace had been running fine since September and the carbon monoxide detector never went off. I turned furnace back on and called Black Diamond. They were booked until Dec. 6. Tech came Dec. 6, spent a little more than an hour, cleaned and inspected the furnace. Said heat exchanger was fine and the furnace was running fine. No problems. I paid Black Diamond $89.00 for cleaning the furnace. Beware of this song and dance from Allen Heating.

We contacted Allen Heating and Cooling last month to service our air conditioning unit, as they were the ones who had installed it in 2012, and it had stopped working. We were contacted very quickly by ****, who offered to come out that night, but decided the next day would be fine for us and **** indicated he would contact us the next morning after he had checked his scheduled appointments. The following day he called first thing in the morning and was at our home within 30 minutes. We ended up having to have the compressor replaced(thankfully that was all it needed). **** asked if we sprayed the unit out yearly to clear the debris that had accumulated in it, and he noted that that will extend the life of the unit.Our initial experience with this company back in 2011 for our furnace and then in 2012 for our air conditioner were both excellent.AND a major shout out to ****!!! Very professional and very thorough!!! Let's remember your company is only as good as the people you employ and **** scores at the top of that list. The rest is up to you to sustain a good reputation.
