I signed a contract with Zamora and Sons in October of 2022 to have them put in new sidewalks at my home. I paid $600 up front and was to pay the remaining balance of $500 when the job was finished. I tried getting them to start the job on 3 different occasions and they would never show up. I finally told them I would find someone else and demanded my $600 refund back. **************** was the person I talked to initially. He said he would refund my $600. I have yet to receive my refund after countless texts and attempted phone calls. No reply on his part.Initial Complaint

We hired Zamora & Sons, LLC. to do our driveway ribbons in concrete, we signed the contract in July, 2022. In July, we paid via zelle for $200 to hold the date. **** kept delaying and delaying for months and months so I asked for a refund and it's been one month with no refund. He stopped responding to texts. I reached out plenty of times to get an answer on when I would get a refund with no response. I saw him post on ******** so I responded asking him to call me. He took down the post immediately and he texted me asking for how I paid him and he still never paid me. We just want our deposit back.Initial Complaint

We hired Zamora & Sons, LLC. to do our driveway in concrete, singed the invoice in August, 2022. They gave us a price well below a few other quotes to earn our business and told us it would start the 1st week of October, 2022. We gave them a check for $300 to hold the date in August. Then they took too long to get permits, turns out they were going to try and get away without submitting for them. They asked for $1000 to cover the permit. I gave it over in good faith which is now $1300 total I have paid Zamora & Sons, LLC. They delayed over 2 weeks so we cancelled and it's been 10 days with no refund. I used Zelle for the $1000 and he stopped responding to texts. I warned I would reach out to the BBB and contact my Lawyer if it wasn't returned and absolutely no response and they are posting all over social media the other jobs they're doing. We just want our hard earned money back. Simple. We never paid for material or services and I have a text telling full refund for cancelling due to delays, but never saw the refund.Initial Complaint

on July 17 **** contacted me he said he could do the work in a week or so but he never did, he never came at all. He asked or for **** down payment through Zelle Case app, #JPM999e37ilq July 17th 2022. i signed a contract with him balance of **** after he completed the work but he never did the work it all. On the 5/21/2022 we entered (Zamora & Sons LLC and me) into contract for replacement of the driveway. Subtotal for the work was $8000.I paid deposit of $4000 on 05/25/2022.Work was scheduled to start on 06/06/2022 depending on weather. After that day started game of cat and mouse, we are coming this day, then another day etc. Finally, on 06/21/2022 concrete was poured on half of the driveway. Another ten days past they started finishing and pouring concrete on the second half of the driveway. Younger Mr. ********************** texted me that they will take of $500 from the final bill because they were late with the job. Right away we noticed that two steps they replaced by the house side door were finished very poorly and they are uneven, and concrete was peeling on the side of stairs. On the front of the same it was puddle of water after rain that day and concrete was very uneven on that spot.I told Mr. ********************** and his son that this must be fixed, and they promised this will be done next day when they come to cut the driveway lines. Concrete on second part of the driveway is peeling on many places.I told them that I will pay them rest after job is completed, but in that point older Mr. ********************** started to be very aggravated and very aggressive requesting to pay him same day. I told him that I can give him another $2000, but he insisted on $2500. I was very surprised with their behavior and aggressiveness, so I made new check of $2500 just to easy up situation and come them down. I was even thinking to call Police, but I decided not to.After that day, I never heard from them. When I try to contact them an any way, there is no answer.All I asked from them is to fix mistakes, but this never happened.I am contacting BBB so this cannot happen to the any other person and household because this cost lots of money and this company should be somehow punished for their unprofessionalism.Also, I am requesting for money back because job must be done all over again.Thank you1 SincerelyInitial Complaint

Contacted Zamora & Sons to get a quote on a sidewalk via ******** messenger. **** contacted me with the quote. On August 3rd, I asked him when they could do the job if I were to accept. He stated that he was pretty busy but could fit my job in over the weekend- tearing out the sidewalk Saturday and pouring on Monday. I confirmed that he could start the job this weekend and after he said yes, I told him I would like him to proceed. He said he would send me a contract via email and he wanted 1/2 down before he started the job and wanted to know how I would be paying that. I paid via Zelle. That Saturday came and went without anyone coming to do the job. I contacted him again and he said he was sorry and he would definitely be out to start that Monday. Monday came and went and he had not come out. He then said he would be able to start the following weekend 8/13, That weekend came and went and he had not come out. I contacted him on the 16th and he said he had forgot me but he would come out that day . I asked what time, he said after 4:30. That day came and went and he had not come out. I told him I would like a refund of my deposit and I wanted to cancel the job. He agreed to this on 8/18 but said he would pay me this weekend, August *****st. This weekend came and went and nothing from ****. I asked him on Sunday the 21st if he had forgot he said he would return my deposit. He said I have not forgot...but he did not pay. I just want this company to return my deposit which is $700 as he said he would, preferably via Zelle same way as I paid him.Initial Complaint

Hello! This is **** with zamora & Sons LLC. I am not giving ****** a refund , he still owes me money. He can keep that as a refund.

I am rejecting this response because:
Existing job wasnt done properly and according to the contract.Most of the driveway has to be redone especially stairs and around the same. Estimates I had in last couple of weeks for fixing it are between $4000-$5000.This is why I am asking for full refund, not to mention big inconvenience for me and my family. We feel outrageous and robbed for the money we work very hard.Sincerely,
