My ** unit outside was acting up and Freed sent out a technician to evaluate the problem. The technician thought it was the condenser motor but it turned out to be the fan blades after installing the motor. I was charged the price for the fan blades and half of the motor long with the price of labor. After the technician left the ** was acting up again and Freed sent a technician out and it was due to the fan blades going in reverse on the motor so the motor had to be rewired correctly. After the technician left again the condenser motor was overheating on hot days and shutting off while the compressor kept running until the fan motor cooled off and then it would kick back on. Another technician was sent out and that technician told me to put a sprinkler on my ** unit and the technician gave me a story of maybe the neighborhood is fighting for electricity which has never happened and after that the technician left doing nothing for the unit. I did my own research on the unit and found out they installed an undersized condenser motor causing it to overheat. Freed took my old condenser motor so I couldn't even use that one again after they installed the new one. Now they are telling me it isn't worth their time or money to correct their mistake when all that was wrong were the fan blades needed to be replaced so they refuse to correct the issue. Freed would rather try selling me a new one due to the age of our ** unit yet it still ran and kept the house cool when running properly which it would've if not for the undersized condenser motor. My family tried to get by with what we have for the time being due to the cost of a new unit which I can't afford at this time. Freed just refuses to correct their mistake due to an older unit that ran fine yet Freed employs incompetent technicians and Freed is unwilling to let someone correct the issue.

Rich from John Freed plumbing came to my home on 11/2/2022 to install new shower head, toilet seat and cartridge in vanity sink faucet. He completed that in 30 minutes. He went to replace the cartridge in the shower faucet he left for 40 minutes to buy the cartridge and he had issues from the get go, he said he could not get it removed so he used a blow torch, my smoke alarms were going off and the house was filled with smoke. Took him 3 hrs to get that cartridge replaced. Not sure why they don't have basic parts with them he charged me for the 40 min of time to buy the part. Two weeks later my shower faucet is dripping, I called Freed and he said he would send some one out. This guy walked in the bathroom and said he would have to knock walls down to find the problem. I told him I did not have another $300 to spend on this. My bill from 11/2 was $620, he told me it would be a lot more than that so I told him to leave. I called a different company to have a look the issue according to them is damage caused by excessive heat from the blow torch, I paid this guy $218 for him to take the cartridge out and inspect the pipes. I called Freed once again hoping to get some sort of reimbursement. His guy caused damage to the faucet and he said the plumber I hired does not know what he's talking about and refused to take any responsibility. They offer a senior citizen discount but that never happened I'm assuming his plumber ate lunch on his 40 min trip to the hardware store and charged that to me. Simple tasks and I was charged $429 in labor for the work that day.

**** assures me that he did not use a blow torch to remove the cartridge. There are many parts needed for different faucets and can't be expected to have them all on our trucks. **** never takes lunch and she was given our 10% senior citizen discount off the labor charge. I called her to schedule a day for **** to return as an opportunity to see what she was saying and she cancelled that visit. I feel that **** did a great job and do not feel there is any reimbursement due

*************** to a complaint I filed against John Freed plumbing.

      1. When Rich was working in the full bath I heard my smoke alarms going off, I ran upstairs the 2nd floor was filled with smoke. He said he was using a blow torch to remove the cartridge those were his words, not mine.
      2. Your company has done work at my home for many years and in that bathroom a couple of times. I told you what needed to be done before your plumber came to my home, do you not have records of your trips here?  I have a basic faucet , would you not carry some thing so common in your van.
      3. I should not have to pay travel time for your plumber to gat a part certainly not 40 minutes. I could have gone to Ace up the street and been back in 15.
      4. You did send some one out to look at the faucet on December 27th. He walked in the bathroom and said he needed to knock the walls down to find the problem. I told him to leave. Why would he want to do something so extreme for a dripping faucet?  I do not trust Rich to do work in my home any longer that is why I called in a different company.
      5. Rich   gave me a discount for the amount of time spent on the repair, 3+ hours that day, if its a senior discount then put that on my bill as such I was not told it was a senior discount.                                                                                                                                         Sent from Mail for Windows

Rich isna licensed plumber and has workrd for us for 10 years. Many of our customers request him as they are veryhappywith his workethic. We know he does not lie he says he did not use a blow torch We can not carry all parts for all faucets as there are so many different brands and sometimes the age of the faucet matters.

If you lookat youe=r invoice you will see the 10% discount given to you off the labor cost.I am sorry you feel this way about our company as the majority of our customers are very happy with our services. We prefer to never hear from you again and hope you give that unnamed plumber better service for yourjobs than you have given us.

I am rejecting this response because: I did not have an issue with the service until the faucet started dripping 2 weeks after having work done in that bathroom. When I contacted him [*****************************] the plumber he sent out wanted to knock walls down to find the issue I was not going to allow that to happen, for a dripping faucet, that seems very extreme. He did not want to listen to what I had to say and I had no choice but to hire another plumber. I really expected better customer service and a company willing to stand behind their work.
      Sincerely,
