      I hired Alliance Moving out of **, to move our home from ********, ** to ******, **. The move took place on March 29, but unbeknownst to us was given to a third party mover. Alliance quoted **** business days until delivery, with no mention that *** change. Upon arrival to ****** on April 1, we contacted the third party carrier and were told 30 days to delivery. I asked Alliance to intercede and talk to the carrier about a sooner delivery date, since we were unaware of the change. They have refused.

      We sincerely apologize for any issues caused however the issues that have transpired has occurred with the broker company Alliance Moving & Storage located in *************** ******* whom we have absolutely no affiliation with, we are a family owned moving company based in *************** **. We are not licensed as brokers, although we do assist in long distance moves they will first have to originate in the ******** as we do not currently have any branches out of the ******** area .       Alliance Moving said they would provide the following: 3 men, 1 truck, loading and unloading, furniture disassembly and reassembly, blankets and pads, 4 wardrobe boxes (holds 26 hangers each) for 3 hours for $620. The final cost ended up being $1,135.50. They added travel charges of $185 and material charges for $153. It did take longer and I am not disputing the additional labor charges. I have contacted them three times asking them to explain the travel and material charges but they only send the invoice. I should not have to pay for charges that were not part of the agreement (travel) or charges that I don't know what they include.

      Hi *****,

      I apologize for any frustration you are experiencing, part of the contract emailed to you and you have signed for stated that the move was subject to a 3 hour minimum which included a truck charge. It also states in red any time over the 3 hour minimum will be prorated in 15 minute increments until the move is complete, also in the highlighted area below the 3 hour minimum charge shows in parenthesis that any material used to wrap and protect your personal belongings will be billed according to actual use. ***** advise if you will like a manager to reach you regarding the charges of your move.

      I am rejecting this response because: It does not explain why I was charged $185 for a truck charge and  what the materials were that I was charged for. I have repeatedly asked for this information and it has never been addressed.

      I paid this company back on 7/28/2021 to move me to ******* and they called me and cancelled with me and sent me a form to complete to fill out and I did to refund my money.. since September I've been calling this customer service @ ********** 2 times a week and I keep getting a run around I was told that I needed to talk to ***** and than ***** is not in the office i spoke with a ****** and **** and ***** and a ***, *** told me that she had to have a meeting with the owner to issue the refund because she can only refund *******. also *** contacted me personal and told me to contact a civil lawyer. I just want my money back! they called me and cancelled and I was told 4 times they would be giving me my money back. this is ******* I paid them. This company did not move me and they cancelled this and not me. This is wrong refund my money I should not have to hire a attorney. I should not be paying more money to get my money.
