My name is **** Maureen ************ I purchase a bedroom set at The room place **************** last Dec 2022 and finance for 3 yrs and with a monthly payment of $100 something dollar. I paid it monthly for 2 yrs and I have 1 year left of 1000 dollars something balance. However, December 2024. I saw a balance and they posted an additional fee of $2500 for unknown reason. They stated that since they are no longer partner with comenity bank theres some fees that I need to pay which I did not agree nor sign anything when I purchased this furniture. This is complete scam transaction from room place and for me as the buyer. I need resolution with this problem seeking help with BBB to help me with this issue. Thank you! Hello **** ***********, Upon further review of order ********** the finance terms were for 24 months 0% interest with minimum monthly payments and pay off in 24 months as list on the comments and receipt upon day of purchase on 12/05/2022; "CUS BUYING Southport 5 Pc. King ******* ********************** **** PRESTIGE PREMIER AS IS & K DRI TECH ALL WARRANTY PAYING WITH TRP FOR 24 MONTHS . RAD no visible damage". Which terms would have ended December of 2024. ************* would have listed the term end date on the statement sent to you, usually in the middle portion of the tri-fold statement if you obtain paper statements. If you went paperless it would have been in the middle portion of the paperless statement you can view on your account page with *************. Zero stars.went in the beginning of July. Knew what we wantedordered what we wanted. We asked about shippingthey claim to ship anywhereok great!! We live in **. This was a gift from mother in law to us. ***** ordered. Now fast forward to September 6th. No couch. No communication!! When we do get communication its that its on back order and they keep pushing the date!! Date has been pushed back 4 times!! When asked to speak to manger they claim it takes 2-3 days for a call back!!! Guess who never calls back!!!! When we orders the couch the sales people never ever said anything about being on back order.just wanted their commission!!! I cant get in touch with anyone to give me any sort of explanation! This after being told back in July after we were already frustrated about dates that we cant back out of this order!! Reason for that was its a special order!!? How is this a special order!?? Different excuse every time!! Ive had it.this is only step one in getting someones attention from this place!! I will take this further!!Harlem Furniture

Weak operational business. We're stuck with four chairs and a bench in our home without a dining table for who knows how long.Dining table ordered 6/16 with an estimated delivery date of 7/10. I checked in a week before to see if we were on time. The phone rep said yes and suggested that we do a partial delivery (chairs + bench) and then the table would be delivered 7/10. In retrospect, this seems like a tactic to mitigate refunds / order cancellations with their sketchy supply chain and vendor management.On 7/9, I called to confirm delivery (mind you the first delivery was hours outside of the 3-hour window initially provided) and was then informed that it's now pushed back to August.Apparently it's the vendors fault...and they have no control over it and weren't aware until 7/9.This is the response I'd expect from kids with a side hustle side business. They offered a $25 voucher and the option to swap for an available item.Harlem Furniture

Very disappointed with The ROOMPLACE. Purchased Couch loveseat, and recliner. The left side of the loveseat is stuck in the reclined position. I called and a guy from a local furniture store came out. I was told that parts were ordered and I should receive them by May 30. Never received parts. Called again and was told parts were too big to be sent by *****. Parts should arrive by June 22. This has turned into a joke. When June 22 arrives, I still wont have parts. Different excuse every time. Furniture isnt being repaired or replaced. I wish I had purchased furniture somewhere else from a company that stands behind their products.Harlem Furniture

ordered a bedroom set and had it delivered upon delivery one of the deliver people went through my new work clothes looking for his size this was caught on camera. The manger at the location in ****** is full of it he called me telling me that the corporate office takes these things very series all c*** once I sent him the ring camera proof he replied I passed it off to the delivery department beware if you choose to do business with them.Harlem Furniture

Very unsatisfied. We purchased a 3 piece sectional on 11/27/2023. We were told a delivery date of 12/21/2023. After multiple delays, we received 2 out of 3 pieces on 1/17/2024. The third piece has now been delayed three more times until July 2024!! That is 8 months from the purchase date. And I dont even know if I believe it will be delivered in July. This is unacceptable. I would not recommend purchasing furniture here if you are looking for a true lead time. It was a falsified sale.Harlem Furniture

I purchased furniture from room place at ********** IL 5 years ago. I paid for a warranty, they told me the warranty is No use No loose and if I don't use it then I can get my money back as a gift card and use it anywhere I want.Now after 5 years I find a whole different story, the protection money MUST be used in room place items and I must spend 999$ so I can use my money. I don't want to spend 999$ I just want to spend my protection money only. They refuse and now they say if I don't use the money I will loose it and Room Place will keep it! (is that even legal).I talked with store managers, associates and there customer service too with no result.I need my money, if there sales associates gives false information to make the sale then they have to watch them and make sure they follow the law. what is happening is Illegal and Not acceptable also it may be illegal.Harlem Furniture

I have been a loyal customer for the past couple of years and have being doing my payments on time before the 6 months to take advantage of the promotions of 0% interest rate. Unfortunately I was off with my last payment for 0.22 cents(human mistake)And I received a new statement of$145!!!!! Yes! $145 on interest rate for .22 cents. This is very frustrating. Hello I got a table and a couch. You have a next day delivery guarantee process but I got my table 2 days later and still waiting on my couch and it's been a month! When they delivered my table they refused to take the old table out and that's horrible customer service especially if I'm paying for delivery. Plz have them take my old couch out when the new 1 finally comes. I've waited a month that's the least they can do. Started a chat and tier refunds to take the old furniture. While we do have next day delivery for in stock items, if an item is out of stock or if the day is booked to capacity, it could cause a delay on delivery date. We do see the table was delivered 2/19 due to 2/18 booked up. As for the sectional it was out of stock at time of purchase estimated in stock mid march, and we would reach out if any changes should come in by vendor on stock date. Due to liability reasons, our delivery drivers cannot remove or move anything existing in the home upon delivery of order. A member of our team will reach out direct to you regarding this.
