I hired Eclipse restoration for repairs after a roof leak. He agreed to do the kitchen, bathroom, flooring, drywall and painting for the dollar amount given by statefarm. Unfortunately, no written contract was signed but confirmed in writing multiple times that he planned to uphold our verbal contract. Halfway through the project "due to inflation" he can't complete the project. He took the money given to me from my insurance and left partial repairs. Below are bits of a demand letter I am writing with regard to the contract for services between Eclipse and ****** related to property address ***************************************************** On 9/19/21, **************** entered into contact with Eclipse Restoration for emergency services, mitigation/remediation, rebuild, contents restoration. The restoration services for the bathroom, walls, kitchen, and floors are not yet completed. Payment for these services, as provided was made on or about December 14, 2021 for the amount $18,294.69 and on or about 5/6/22 for the amount $18,119.43. 8months and $36,414.12 later, the restoration services are not yet complete. On 6/30/22, you stated, Yes we will complete the project with the amounts provided by State Farm. . . . I understand your concerns about getting this project done before you need to move out of the rental apartment. Ill get you a detailed schedule but for now, we are finishing the bathroom which should be completed by Thursday if not sooner. The insulation, drywall repair, and painting will start July 5th. The dust generated by the tile work in the bathroom prevents us from painting any sooner but this should also take less than a week to complete. The floors and cabinets have to be done simultaneously.If the aforementioned services cannot be completed by 8/1/22, **************** requests Eclipse pay the relocation costs until Eclipse Restoration complies with the Contract for Services (~$4,000 per month), or Eclipse provide a refund of the $36,414.12 paid to Eclipse
