I booked with ****** ****** on 10/24/23 after seeing a post offering Christmas Mini's. My husband sent her money for the session and we set a date for 11/18/23. Two days before the session ****** messaged me and stated her and her family had COVID so she was unable to do the pictures and we rescheduled for 12/3/23. I had previously signed a contract. I told her these were for Christmas cards so that date is cutting it a little close to get them out and she stated she does not do refunds since she can reschedule me, and assured me that she would have the pictures completed within 48 hours so I could get the cards out on time. The day of our rescheduled session ****** messaged me and stated it was raining in her town and can move me to 1 that afternoon (it was originally 10am). I stated I could not do another time because I had a baby shower and a live nativity in the same day. She stated even if we did reschedule we could not use the background that she advertised with due to it being too muddy. She stated that since I cannot reschedule to a different time that she can only offer me a session in 2024. This defeats the reason for me booking the Christmas mini, as it was for Christmas. I stated I do not need pictures in 2024, I wanted these only for Christmas cards. She stated that was my only option due to her not being available for the rest of the year. I signed a contract that stated no refunds due to rescheduling and since she is able to offer another date, she refused to refund me. My complaint is against her offering Christmas minis and not being able to follow through with them until 2024 due to her rescheduling twice and then being too booked for the rest of the year. Out of principle I felt she should have refunded me due to the photos being advertised as Christmas minis, not a session in 2024.
