On July 5, 2023, I visited DIF Nails in ********** for a nail "fill in". I chose the color and style I wanted, the work had been done previously by the manager, who was now gone for several months. Instead, I was serviced by a technician "***", who did a terrible job. There was a large dark circle on each of my nails that was not supposed to be there. I showed him a picture of how the nails were supposed to look, which was done previously by the absent manager. He became very angry, saying I was criticizing his work. I had stopped having him do my nails because previously, he was intentionally burning the edges of my fingers when removing the polish with a hot device they use. When I told him I was being burned, he responded that he was doing it because I was not relaxed. My fingers hurt for days after that. He became incensed this time and argumentative, I told him I only wanted us to resolve the situation and did not want conflict. He began discussing this with other employees, they all spoke Chinese so I don't know what they said. Finally, an "acting" manager took the same polish and polished over the area quickly and shooed me away. I can still see the dark circles. When it was time to pay, he charged me for two nails they had done badly a couple of weeks before that had broken off, I told him he should not charge me for that because it was faulty workmanship and they broke prematurely because of their faulty work, he told me if I didn't like it, don't come back. This is the second time they tried to charge me for needing to have faulty workmanship corrected, and I believe it is a pattern and practice of theirs, to do faulty work, then charge extra when you have to return with broken nails because of their negligence. I want a full refund from them because of the embarrassment and hostility. I was very nice and soft spoken when explaining to him the nails did not look good. They have tried to cover up the darkness but it is still visible to me.
