I, ***********************, was carrying the cargo on my box truck to be delivered to the customer (weight of my cargo: 1000 lbs), when I went for a short shopping trip to ******* to meet my personal needs (approximately 45 minutes), it was located close to the ******* parking lot, even in the same area. I parked my car in another parking place. I accept my mistake. The problematic situation for me is that *********** charged me more than the fees corresponding to the tonnages on the warning sign that I saw later. The amount I overpaid should have been $200.00, but I was charged $520.00. I would like to request your help to take the necessary penal action against the company and to refund me the excess amount that was taken from me unfairly and illegally, that is, the excess amount that I paid.Tow Company (Redmon's Towing 156, Address: *************************************************************, Phone: ************)My vehicle: Dodge Ram Promaster 2019 Box Truck (Tended Truck)License Plate: NPK 4057 (*****)Curb weight of my vehicle: 6140 lbs Cargo weight in my vehicle: 1000 lbs I have a ******* receipt, Tow Invoice, credit card receipt and an official document showing the weight of the cargo for that date and time.On the small sign showing the tow towing fees, which is not towards the car park of the ***********, but in the opposite direction:towing Up to ***** LBS - $200.00 *****-******LBS - $520.00 ****** LBS & UP - $700.00 Price list is available. I saw this tariff by chance after my car was towed. Because this small sign is attached to the tree, it does not face towards the parked area, but looks towards the street or avenue right next to it. In other words, it can only be read from the street or avenue.

My car was unlawfully towed from my condo yesterday. I had the stickers and was parked in the visitors section. Despite that my car was still towed for no reason. I have seen cars all over the place without stickers without any ramifications . They just randomly come and tow cars without any rhyme or reason.

Was in an accident on 12/01/23 around ****p, and my vehicle was towed to Redmonds towing in ********** **. ****p I wished to retrieve items from my car, but was denied until 200$ tow fee was paid. So I figured after seeing the accident was not my fault I would let the insurance pay for it. Little dude I know after 4 *************** all taken car of, items were missing from my vehicle that were placed in the trunk. Now I've filed a police report & withheld the fact that I have 100% proof that they were in the trunk before my car was towed. Smh if the accident wasn't enough the tow yard too!

8/30/2023 Both the date of writing this as well as the incident. I had gotten my car towed for parking in what appeared to be visitor parking but was apparently not. Whatever, towing is a scam ill **** it up. However upon leaving their tow lot it is one lane in and out, I stopped for maybe a maximum of ****************************************** to pick up my car "good to go". Immediately a tow truck with a car on the back drove right up to the entrance completely blocking me in and threatening me. I didnt get a name but it was a black man maybe mid 20s or 30s driving a **** tow truck with license plate "1 ******". He blocked me in and was swearing at me and my girlfriend who was in the car with me. Threatening that he was going to "tow my a** right back into the yard", calling me names such as "dickhead" and threatening to block me in and hit my vehicle. Extremely unprofessional and threatening behavior from someone whos on the clock supposed to be doing their job.Not to mention, if you wanted me to move, probably not the best idea to drive inches away from my car and block me in from moving.I ended up reversing and driving over the curb to get out because considering the man was threatening me and my girlfriend, who knows if he will attempt to harm either of us.

On July 28th, 2023 around approx 10PM, I had an automobile accident. Redmons towing came to pick up my totaled vehicle after the accident which I had no say in. The driver of the tow truck started to scream at me because he thought I left the car on, even after I repeatedly told him the car was off. The officer on the scene responded multiple times that the fire department was toying around with my car and that *** have caused the complications that the tower was experiencing. Afterwards the police officer told me I should report him due to his despicable behavior. The following day, I went to go pick up my vehicle from their lot and they provided the wrong location address, making me go all the way to their other location in a rush. They charged me a whole day fee of 55$ extra because my car had gotten in at 11:30PM, charging me 55$ for 30 minutes of time in their lot. I showed up to their site where my car was actually located and the woman I was dealing with was very unprofessional and did not seem to care for my situation or consideration at all. She was even dressed unprofessionally which I will attach a photo of (wearing flip flops). She went on to tell me that they lost the key to my car that I provided trying to deflect blame to other workers in the company, but not helping in my situation in the slightest. My key was still lost by them and the towing company experienced many complications because they were unable to turn one of the wheels that was locked in position.Ultimately my experience with redmons towing was not by choice and they abused that fact and provided undeniably awful service. They should not be in business. I would like a refund for the terrible service.

They towed my vehicle illegally I had my permit parking pass in the window in the refuse to release my vehicle to me and it was towed illegally

      Business response

      01/12/2023

The vehicle was towed for no permit. the driver inspected all the windows of the vehicle and there was not a permit in any of the windows or in plain view. We take pictures of everything before we tow the vehicles. When the lady showed up to the yard she went out to the vehicle and and found the permit on the passenger side floor of the car under the seat. The permit was not in plain view nor could it be seen through the windows. We followed all laws that are applied to private property towing. if you have any further questions please feel free to contact me.

August 2, 2022 i paid $900 for a tow that was port to port then charged $60 for toll ways. They lied about where theyre located in order to get more money out of us, on first call said they were located in ********** then told ** they were coming out of *****, they originally charged 145 then charged me 175 when they got to me to drop off the vehicle

      Business response

      08/08/2022

The customer was quoted a rate of 175 per hour plus any tolls incurred during that time. A port to port rate is when the truck leaves the shop to when it gets back. The first available truck was at our Elgin. Our 2 facilities are 15 minutes from each other so there is no real time difference in a port to port rate. We also spent extra time at the truck dealership while the customer tried to pay for the truck so we could tow it out. If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me.

On 10/19/21, I engaged AAA to tow my 40ft Class A Diesel Pusher from my property to a repair facility due to a power steering fluid leak. AAA engaged Transit Pros LLC, who in turn engaged Redmons Towing, a local tow operator. During the tow from my property to the repair facility, the drivers side mirror assembly was damaged. The mirror assembly was in good, upright, working condition prior to being towed from my property in ****************, ** to the *************** shop at ***************************************************************************. The mirror assembly was noted as being damaged during the pre-inspection performed on the lot at Cummins when it first arrived. The mounting shaft at the base of the mirror was snapped, requiring replacement. Upon learning of the damage, I filed a Complaint with AAA. I was then contacted by ************ on 10/28/21 and provided additional information and documents the next day, including (1) photos of the ** attached to the tow truck, and leaving my property, with the mirror assembly visually attached and in good working order; (2) a copy of the inspection report provided by Cummins; (3) photos of the damaged mirror assembly taken by the Cummins folks after the ** was inspected in the lot and driven into the shop; and (4) an estimate from Cummins to replace the mirror assembly. By the end of November, ************ had still not concluded their investigation into my Complaint despite my numerous inquiries both in writing and via telephone, so I authorized Cummins to repair the damaged mirror assembly and paid $554.05. I emailed *********** on 12/26 and advised them that I expected to be fully reimbursed. After many additional follow *** and inquiries, on February 28, 2022 Transit Pro finally made an offer of $114 in exchange for a release and discharge of *********** and Redmons Towing from any and all manner of claims relating to my complaint of damage. I rejected that offer as unacceptable.

      Business response

      03/16/2022

      Dear ********

We have done an investigation into this matter. I have also spoken with ************ regarding this situation. I have concluded that we are not responsible for the damage to the *** There is no physical damage to the mirror that would be caused if we hit something with it. Looking closely at the pictures it looks as if there might be an internal corrosion issue that *** have caused the mirror to fall from the post it is mounted on. We can not be responsible for wear and tear issues that the ** has been exposed previous to towing it. please feel free to contact me with any further questions.
