      My son *************************************** enrolled in Anytime fitness on ******************************************************************************, phone number ************ around December 2019 when he came back home from winter break. He paid the $39.99 monthly membership by debit directly to his account. However, we have an insurance benefit for a family with her company through BCBS Wellness plan for $25 a month. ****** called Wellness to enrolled himself in January 2020. He called the gym to notify them of the change and subsequently cancel the current $39.99 membership. The gym continues to charge him both $39.99 from his account and additional $25 from my credit card. We found out months later that the gym had continued the $39.99 charges despite asking for cancellation.In March 2020 the gym closed 2-3 months due to covid. During this time, the gym closed but failed to notify that they continued the charges, despite the gym being closed.****** had been trying to cancel his membership several times. They agree with the cancellation of his membership but there was no action taken in the system resulting in the continue membership fees each month. Whether this was due to negligence or deliberate deceptive practices is not known.****** called to cancel again with my wife in December 2020 and the charge from my credit card finally stop. However, his direct account continues be charged for $39.99 until October 2021. After multiple calls, the receptionist at the gym agreed to consult the owner and call back. There was no subsequent call back, which was a repeated pattern over multiple calls, as was a complete denial that previous calls were made requesting cancellation of the membership.They both continued and tried to request the credit from this gym and offered to come in or email them to show the duplicate charge statements. The owner and manager refused to refund the fees.Please review the attached support ************ statement and my credit card statement showing the gym membership fee from period
