I have reason to believe that this company sold me a lemon for 5k down and financed fees. I was sold a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse by ************************* on April 19th, 2024. I was told that the car had just arrived at the dealership days prior, had new tires, and was detailed. Upon purchasing the only functional issue I was aware of was the trunk missing piece Upon driving the car for the first 24 hours, I noticed other functional issues such as the key fob unlock button not working, the passenger side window not being able to roll down from the driver's side, the air conditioner not blowing cold air, and one tail light hanging from the outlet. On April 21st, I came back to have the trunk piece attached and during my visit, ******** attempted to repossess the keys to the vehicle. Stating that the $4,400 wire didn't go through although I had attached a screenshot showing the funds had left my account. This was his attempt to harm my image as a customer all because the money hadn't reached his account yet as it had to go through the federal reserve. He unprofessionally offered to "cancel" the transaction after I expressed my frustration with his lack of communication as if he didn't have $600 that was zelled and available from the initial purchase of the car that he swindled me into buying knowing the vulnerable circumstance I was in. On May 2nd, I discovered that the car was sold to me with dirty engine oil, a ***** clamp near the radiator, no coolant, and an anti-freeze leak. I found this out because I almost died driving on one of the Chicago Highways while on my way to a live comedy show the previous day. The next following day, I found out why the car was shaking, having wiring issues, and a smoking engine by ******* at his Mechanic Shop in ***********. 3 days after spending $200 to get the necessary fixes, the vehicle was stolen. I have filed a stolen vehicle report, had a police ****** meet me to confront the dealership, and filed with the secretary of state police.
