I traded in our families paid off 2011 GMC Acadia to go towards the purchase of a **** Land Rover lr3 (and put $7700 more down via check) as a surprise for my wife. Upon getting the vehicle its been issue after issue. They always claim that they have fixed the problem but I have had to get the car towed back to Barrington 2x and now a third but Im not going back there this time. Problems that have occurred:1. Trans fault light goes on and car wont move and my wife and kids are stuck at target (had to get towed) said they fixed the issue by replacing the battery 2. Same code a week later (had to get towed again) said they fixed the issue by replacing the alternator 3. A week laterloud grinding noise from front of the vehicle when coasting or braking (can hear it a block away- thats how loud it is)4. On top of it allMirror also fell off the drivers side door when getting carwash for the first time. A real beauty.All of their email communications have been smooth and perfect. They make themselves look immaculate and have clearly made a business out of ripping people off. The in-person interaction I have had have been the complete opposite. The owner, ***************** said that I shouldnt even try to get a lawyer or talk about a lemon cause I dont know anything Im talking about (he was trying to intimidate me). He also said why would he give me my old car back and take this one back/return my money to me when hes made a profit from it. When I appealed to his good nature that I feel my wife and kids are unsafe he was unmoved and just suggested I buy an even more expensive vehicle from his dealership. I now have a car sitting in my father in laws driveway because we were visiting him when the last issue occurred. *** suggested I get a AAA membership to solve the issue. What? To keep towing it to your shop every week? I never have had any issues like this with any of my vehicles and he still wont make things right.Business response
