I hired Minors Construction Of Central Illinois to side my house, paid them $8,033.02 deposit and they never showed up. And would not return my money!Initial Complaint

I paid a deposit of $1,340.62 to Minor Construction, in August, 2022. In October, 2022, I sent **** a request for an update on the completion of the railings for my deck. **** replied, that he is working on a big job, and that I was next in line. I tried to contact **** today, Feb.7, 2023, finding out that his license expired in Dec., 2022. He had also been turned in to the BBB. All I’m asking is that my deck railing is completed, or my deposit is returned. Thanks for your help! ***** ******Initial Complaint

Paid to have house sided. Job was finished in mid June. Within a week or two had to have them come back to fix siding that had come down. They did. Now there is an issue with siding on south side of home and they have not returned our calls or text/email messages. In fact the last call said number was not in service. This was a &11,766 job that is paid in full. Appreciate your help in either getting them back out here or getting a refund on the portion of siding that needs to be redone so we can have it redone. On 06/02/2022 I paid an invoice of $1,264.48 as a deposit to have a privacy fence installed on a portion of my property by Minors Construction of Central Illinois. Our agreement was for the work to be started within 4 weeks due to them having orders previously taken. As the four week mark started to get closer, I reached out via telephone to the company to confirm a start date and was told that the company would be starting towards the end of the week, which would be the week of July 4th. After my yard was marked and flagged by a local utility company for safe digging purposes, I again reached out via phone call and text message and was then told that unfortunately, the company would be forced to cancel out my work order due to a personal injury obtained. I was then told that it would be 3-5 business days for my refund to be transferred back to my account/credit card. After 7 business days, I reached out to the company in regards to not receiving my refund. I received no answer when calling via telephone, no respond to my text messages, and was blocked on social media. This company performed absolutely no work on my property and has received and held my deposit for almost 2 months. I can no longer contact them due to their phone going directly to voicemail.Initial Complaint

I contacted Minor construction. Minor came out to the house I showed him a place for two sided screen room with a door. we agreed and I paid him half of the estimate. He came out on June 24th with a crew of three o and began to do the work. That following Saturday when I paid him in full. it rained that afternoon and the roof leaked ruining a $500 rug a $200 Bose speaker, pictures and silk plants. The room had to be dry vac out. I called Minor he said this was an easy fix he came out got on the roof. it rained the next day and the room o leaked again I called him he said he would be out. I also informed him that the screen door was not put on correctly it had an opening at the top it did not close at the bottom I had to stack bricks in front of it to keep the door closed he said it easy fix Five times he has no showed or canceled once he had a headache, another time he had a toothache, another time he hurt his ankle and as of last Saturday he's supposed to been here at 7:00 a.m. at 10:00 he responded he overslept after I text my husband wanted to know if he planned on doing the work or he needs to refund our money and replace our items. Minor replied he felt threatened and wasn't coming. He said he would send a refund. Nothing sent On Monday I bought a tarp I had my son get on a ladder and the flat plywood roof that he claimed that was connected to the gutters was full of water there look like black electrical tape around pipes and the inside is ruined because of the constant water coming in due to this leaking roof and rain. This room is a mildewing mess. I doubt very seriously if he got a permit like he claims,because this would never have been inspected and approved. I just want my room and roof right. I have all the text including the sending me a refundCustomer response
