      This company is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. They are a scam in every sense of the word. Every month, regardless of whether or not I was out of town and turned off all of the lights and the a/c, the bill is hundreds and hundreds of dollars. This month, they added more than $400 to my bill. Almost $300 of that was for a deposit. But, I've lived here for 3 years. Why are you adding a deposit?!!!! Last month I payed $600. That's INSANE. I pay it every single solitary month and every single solitary month it is hundreds of dollars. One month the a/c was broken and off for an entire month and the bill was still a couple hundred dollars. This place is an absolute scam and they treat families like shi@%%@$! because they have a monopoly on the area. It is shameful, disgusting, disturbing, and unethical in every way! I would give them NEGATIVE 4 stars if I could.

      Terrorist is all they are ripping hard working people off on a daily basis calling for payment with the thefts of turning the power off when it was nasty cold they might as well just held a gun to my head waiting till June and telling me that I was behind on my bill the Did same thing august September and October as a small business owner they are helping me to go out of business they charge delivery fee and rental on their equipment. Thieves is all they are.

      Ridiculous prices, you guys are fraud! You have so many charges on our bill that dont even make sense! Shame on you guys for robbing people. This company should be shut down I wish somebody else would take over. You guys are way too expensive. You double charge people as well I dont know how you sleep at night probably pretty comfortable since you steal everyone elses money.

      Ameren is absolutely ridiculous. If it werent the only option for our location, I would cancel immediately. Our bill has never been below $450 a month. And thats including the budget billing. And now that budget billing has apparently ended (with no notice or notification). Our bill is a whopping $691/mo. Our Mortgage is $900 and some change. That is absolutely mind blowing. We were told we were having to pay back the budget billing (which we expected would happen eventually) but because we have been conserving extra due to the holidays and all of our kids birthdays falling at the end of the year, and lets face it, the lack of funds to afford these insane bills, we are now paying the highest bill weve ever had to pay. Ameren has ZERO consideration for families who are struggling and quite frankly are only ****** people for every ***** they have simply because they know people in our location have no other option for electricity. Worst company ever. If I could give zero stars I would in a heart beat.

      We were put under winter reconnect and had power turned back on but 2 weeks later they came and shutoff gas because order to disconnect was not removed. Told me I had to wait till Monday. I would like compensation for the mistake and formal apology

      We had to use Ameren as they are the only available servicer in our area. The first month was great and we had a reasonable bill below $100. The second month, our A/C was broken and inoperable, thus our air conditioning has been out of use for 1 full week. Explain to me how my bill has tripled since the previous month? With descriptions being "Distribution Delivery Charge Summer" and "Purchased Electric Summer" making up 2/3rds of my bill. It simply does not make sense.

      Hello I have been a customer of this light company for about 6 yrs now and every year the rates are going and myself and others are barley able to pay the bill we are being charged twice a month and from my understanding of the bill being charged for unmetered things in which no one can explain bills are running thousands of dollars and it's just ridiculous I have never dealt with such thing ever since I have been under this light company it outrageous and unexceptionable!!

      Ameren is decided to turn off my friend's power because of non-payment. He cannot be shut off because of medical reasons and several doctors notices have been sent. He's on a CPAP machine which needs to be used by power. He's got asthma and a lot more medical conditions as well as heart conditions ADHD Etc. And we've contacted Ameren a couple different times and they still won't turn it back on until a doctor's notice is set back into them which takes forever to get. So I would like to write this as a complaint because ***** is not supposed to do this to a person who needs the electric for medical reasons
