On 7/29/2021 a contract was drawn up to replace a privacy fence on my property. At that time, *** ***** asked for partial payment and I gave him check for $875. He told me the fence would be completed the end of October or first of November. The week after.thanksgiving I called *** on his cellphone and he told me he was in ***** doing job and then he has big job the following week and I would be first of December. January 11 I attempted to call you cell phone again. Mailbox full and I was unable to leave message. I mailed certified letter January 13 with no response. Notified Better Business Bureau today

I hired Good Neighbors Fencing to put up a wood privacy/chain link fence in my backyard. I signed a contract and sent a check for half of the service the end of September. The beginning of November, I still had not heard anything so I texted the number I had (my check had been cashed at this point). I got a response and they were out two days later and put all the poles in. However, no one has been back and there has been zero communication. I have sent texts, called (goes straight to a voicemail which is full) and have sent a letter thru mail asking for someone to contact me with no response.

Fencing Contract - to install a fence in our yard with concrete footings and including all hardware, brackets as needed. Total Contract Amount $9,500 (signed 10/8/21). Down payment $4750 paid 10/8/21. Fence was installed but with no hardware on gates. One gate came in damaged and *** said he had ordered the replacement. He asked us to pay the remainder in full while we waited for the replacement. We did so thinking there was just those last things to do and the gate would be finished once the gate came in. I went against my better judgment and paid in full though the job was not completed and he has never brought the gate to replace the damaged one and we also have no hardware on the gate, so it is closed with a bungee cord. We spent $9,500 and the job was not completed. There was another issue where *** called to say he had hand surgery and was on gabapentin and basically was unsure of his measurements as he thought he misordered. I guess that should have been a red flag. What makes this even worse is we just moved into this neighborhood. We reached out to *** to get a new fence up right away so we could get a dog. Initially, everything was fine. Two young men came and put the fence up and were polite, etc. We are happy with what they at least finished of our fence. Unfortunately, our new neighbors (who are in their 80's) saw our fence and reached out to Good Neighbor's Fencing to put a fence up for their dog since they saw their work at our house. Same thing, they paid 50% down for the fencing - only he never even started their job.... he told them he would get it in by Dec 5, then it was he won't answer his phone. Their names are ******* and ****** ********. I feel terrible as they got absolutely nothing. ******* said that he is going to have to put a lien on this guy because he has actually went to Joe's house and he won't answer his door. I feel terrible b/c initially I told ****** he was doing ok. That was when the two young men were p
