Title: Extremely Disappointed with Lack of Responsiveness Rating: ????? (1/5 stars) I recently had an extremely frustrating experience with MTD Lawn Care, Inc., and I feel compelled to share my experience as a warning to potential customers. I initially reached out to MTD Lawn Care, Inc. for a project estimate, hoping to take advantage of their highly-reputed services. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of a disappointment. After calling to schedule an estimate request on 8/28/23, A gentlemen arrived on 8/31/23 to look at my project to provide an estimate. I was told that I would have an estimate that evening or at latest the next day and that it's would be sent electronically.. I expected to receive the estimate or at least an acknowledgment of my inquiry. Frustratingly, 5 days passed by without receiving the promised estimate. I reached out via SMS again, asking if the estimate has been completed. I received a reply with the excuse that there was a football game and that they had to leave town, etc but that the estimate would be worked up and sent promptly. Eight more days passed without any contact from them. Another text message was sent for another follow-up. The message was delivered and read by the recipient but still no answer or acknowledgement whatsoever. Now, I understand that businesses can get busy, but this level of neglect and lack of professionalism is inexcusable. It left me questioning whether they truly value their customers or are capable of providing the services they claim to offer. I had high hopes of working with MTD Lawn Care, Inc. but the utter lack of communication has completely soured my opinion of them. If a company cannot even respond to a simple inquiry, how can they be trusted to deliver on their promises for a more complex project? I strongly advise potential customers to think twice before engaging with MTD Lawn Care, Inc. and select a company that actually seems to care about potential customers.

He's lying on multiple levels. first off I did not tell him he'd get an estimate that night. I told him I stopped by to access his property but I was going out of town til Tuesday for the holiday weekend. First thing that Tuesday morning September 5th, he messages me asking where estimate was. I reminded him that after I accessed his property that I left town for the holiday weekend and just got back to town. I also stated that his project had several components to it and I needed to get it all calculated up. I have this in text messages as well.

OP Reply: The business owner is covering for his missteps by falsely claiming the substance of our conversation during his visit to create an estimate for work. Furthermore, the business owner doesn't make any mention about the eight days that passed after he returned from his trip, leaving my messages without the simplest of responses for follow up on the business he was to provide. It's clear that he dropped the ball several times and now that it he hasbeen exposed, he wants to attempt to save face. Since this review was left, he has sent several messages directly to me in an attempt to argue his frustrations. He waited until I took action before offering any meaningful reply whatsoever. I have a text thread and a written timeline of these events and will make all available to anyone who doubts my claim. My review isn't written as a disparagement to the business owner, but to potential customers as a warning about what another customer has already endured, so that they can make more informed decision while hiring contractors.
