On July 27th my husband and I purchased Torque suspension air bags for our truck in order to drive cross country with a cabover camper. The purchase was fulfilled by Amazon (see image below). We installed the bags right before leaving for our trip on 9/2/22. Less than 48 hours into the trip we discover a huge gash in the side of one of the airbags. We contact the company for a replacement but since we are many states away from home we have to find a shop that is willing and able to install the replacement part. It takes a few days to get in contact with the company due to Labor Day weekend and a couple more to receive the part, but we finally find a shop that is able to do the work on 9/9/22; the replacement cost is $516.52 for installation and alignment (see image). About a day later we discover that the newly installed bag is faulty: it is not holding air. At this time we also notice that there is a slow leak on the original bag on the opposite side. At this point we have lost all faith in this company and we just want to be done with them. We contact the company and they offer to send us another replacement, but refuse to cover the cost of the installation of their faulty product. They do refund us for our original purchase. We end up finding another shop to remove their product and install an entirely new kit ********** brand) on 9/13/22 which cost us $730 (see image). It has taken us over a week to actually get in contact with the manager and they continue to refuse to take responsibility for the performance of their product. Although the cost of time, stress, and dangerous driving conditions are immeasurable, the only thing we are seeking is reimbursement of $516.52 for the installation of their dangerous and useless product.I am happy to share photos of the damaged air bags and screenshots of text messages with the service representative upon request.
