In March 2022 I contacted Nicole Janes to create a design and contract a kitchen remodel for me. The cost to have her come to our home take measurements and create a design was $250. Nicole came to our house talked to us about design ideas and took measurements. We paid her $250 as requested. She emailed us a copy of the completed plan. We wanted to make some changes to the plan. She said she would do one redraw without an additional charge. She emailed the updated plan which we loved. I sent her an email to let her know that we liked the plan and were ready to proceed with the project. After not getting a reply, I texted her with the same information. I waited for several days and still didn't hear from her. I called and left a voicemail for her. There was no reply to my voicemail. I finally sent her any email asking her to contact me and that if I didn't hear from her I would have to assume that she was not interested in the job She never responded. As such, I had to contact another Kitchen Designer and start the process all over.Nicole seems like a talented designer and I was excited to work with her. I don't know why she didn't return my calls/texts/emails. I wouldn't mind paying $250 for the plan if she would have followed through with the project or if I had decided not to do the project with her. But I feel it is unfair for her to charge me to start a project and then just walk away from it without any discussion. I would like her to refund the $250 I paid for the plan
