My wife and I hired Mayflower for a cross-country move which took place this June. After delivery of our items, we discovered that Mayflower erroneously left us with numerous items that were not ours (curtain rods/poles, shelves, and one large picture frame box).We reported the issue to Mayflower in June, and over the past 3 months, through multiple phone calls and emails, we have tried to get Mayflower to retrieve the items so they can be returned to their correct owner(s).For some of the items (curtain rods, shelving), Mayflower told us we can donate or dispose of them, as they were already settled through their claims department.For the picture frame box, it has been sitting in our home for over three months now despite repeated attempts on our part to resolve the matter with Mayflower. We were initially put in touch with a driver who we understood would come pick up the package, but a pickup never happened. We were then told *** would come to pick up the package, but we never heard them come on the two date ranges we were told *** would come to our home. Mayflower then suggested we bring the package to *** ourselves as a last resort.We spent a lot of money with Mayflower for this move. We have been patiently trying to work with them to correct their mistake. But now being told we can bring this large, heavy box to a *** dropoff location ourselves to fix their mistake is unacceptable. For a moving company, I would expect they are capable of arranging a successful pickup of a single box they mis-delivered. If this were our item that was lost, I would hope they would do the same for us.Note -- on June 21, we provided to Mayflower images of the mis-delivered items, as well as the details of the Mayflower ID tag on the box.
