Amber Tyler Photography entered into a contract with me under false pretenses and by not disclosing her true identity as a photography in Illinois and not in ID. She accepted my deposit for our written contract via venmo and agreed on the location. She no showed my event which was my grandparents 75th Anniversary Party. She claims to have been in an accident and capable of meeting her contractual obligation. She blocked me from all social media and deactivated her VENMO account. She communicates via email but constantly provided excuse after excuse as to why she hasn't refunded my deposit. She claims to have an attorney but refused to provide contact information. This happened to another victim in WA in May 2021. She was under contract to provide wedding photography and NO SHOWED that wedding. She pretends to be Amber Tyler in the PNW when in fact she is a criminal from Illinois. There have been police reports for this filed in Pullman, WA; Hayden, ID and Taylorville IL as well as a pending small claims case. This is INTRASTATE FRAUD.Customer response

I would like the business to issue proof of the Act of the God that she claims caused her breach of contract as well as evidence that she had booked travel to attend the contracted event. Also, I would like written statement as to why she entered into a contract knowing she wasn't going to be able to perform the terms in her contract.Business response

This is written in response to a complaint that was filed against me. I would like to share with you, what I shared with the other agencies she filed into. Please see below and PLEASE let me know if there is anything I can do. I have worked very hard to build this business and the undue stress this woman has caused me is starting to affect my well being."Good morning-I am writing in response to a letter I received about a consumer complaint, as I have never dealt with this before I am unsure how to respond.
I am a traveling photographer, I have had contracts with numerous people out of state that I have fulfilled. As I continue to grow, I hope those numbers continue to rise. There are several allegations that are false in her complaint against me. Rather than address all of them, I would like to just start by saying that the money was refunded to her on August 23rd, 2022. The contract was wrote for $520.00 but that is not what she paid me, she had only put half down as deposit and that money has been returned to her.On August 23rd, 2022 I told ** ******* I would fulfill her PayPal request by 6:00 p.m. that evening. The payment was sent over as promised, it was sent over a little after 5:00 p.m. as I was at work and that was the soonest I could send it. At some point that day, before the court house closed, she filed a small claims case against me. She is claiming I returned the deposit because she filed the small claims case but I was not even made aware of the case until I was served on September 22, 2022.In short, I was unable to provide service to ** *******. She has been paid all monies due to her, minus the court fees she is now requesting because of the small claims she filed. That being said, I told her I would fulfill the request same day and I did.
My business cards, website and all of my social media speak on traveling and building my business all over the place. I am far from fraudulent. When I was approached by her about this anniversary party, I was more than happy to be a part of their day. I have friends and family willing to write statements and speak on that excitement.Lastly, I had no idea there was a photographer with a like name in her area. I advertise as an elopement photographer and a traveling storyteller- her contract was small in comparison to others I have fulfilled. It was put into affect before the rise in gas prices, in order to get my name out in area I was willing to take on a contract that simply covered the cost to get there.
I can prepare a file and send over as much information as you would like. This has been going on for months and I am tired of living in this space. It is causing undue stress. Please let me know what you need from me and I would be more than happy to provide what I can.
Thank you in advance,***** ** ***** **************Customer response

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:Amber Tyler NO SHOWED the event. She CLAIMS she was in an accident was not able to meet the contract. She took over two months of regular requests by me to return my deposit all the while not supplying any proof of why she breached the contract.
If she has statements and documents to support her dispute the details of my complaint please have her provide them.
She has committed this fraudulent scenario before. The victim in that case filed a police report with the City of ******* ** Police Dept which is supported by a statement by the ***** ***** located in the Pacific Northwest. ***** ***** in IL no showed a wedding that she was under contract for in the Pacific Northwest. I have copies of the police report and witness statements for this case well.
She claims to have been in an accident which caused her to breach her contract with me, yet hasn't provided any proof thereof. She claims in an email to have an itinerary for travel that was planned to attend our event, yet hasn't provided that either.
She claimed to have mailed the refund on two different occasions, yet refused to provide tracking information. She claimed to have an attorney representing her but refused to provide the attorneys contact information.
I did file a smalls claims action prior to receiving the refund of my deposit and incurred some expenses with that process.
She cannot prove any of my statements to be false and her fraudulent business practices need to be exposed to protect other people.
Sincerely,
***** *******Customer response
