I purchased a personal training package for my son through Anytime Fitness for 6 months. On July 19,2023 I communicated via text with **** at Anytime Fitness regarding the 6 month plan. His text to me stated that last draft from my account would be the July 17th one that was just drafted 2 days before. I was recently contacted by ****, at anytime fitness to start scheduling ,y son back in the gym. It was at this point that I noticed Anytime Fitness has been continuing to take $200 from my account past the July date stated above. During a conversation with **** I was told that the agreement I signed had an auto renewal clause and requires a signature to end the contract. I explained to **** what my text from **** stated. He informed me that **** was dishonest with a lot of people and was fired. I asked who else I could speak to regarding the matter and he said the owners but they are going to tell you the same thing.Initial Complaint

I have sent this email to the company for 3 days, called, showed, up, left messages and no one will respond to me To whom it may concern, I have been completely dissatisfied with my training with **** ******* lately at the Anytime Fitness in Tiltion, IL. Since the beginning he has done nothing but talk about other clients, how he wants to quit his job, how he dislikes management, and his personal life during our sessions. He has told me time and again about his DUI issues he is still going to court for and has asked for rides from me. Sessions do not always start on time due to his lack of care on time. For example one time I was at the gym ready to start, he decided to take a call and missed 20 minutes of my session so I went home. The manager offered me to work with a different trainer and I regret not switching in that moment because after that I felt the decline in **** as a PT. A week or so ago **** showed up 15 minutes late to our session without any warning, or apology. I didn’t mind and just figured we would go past our normal time because he didn’t have anyone after me however we did not.Most recently he decided to let go of me as a client without a conversation via text message. I tried to call the location and he told me to talk ****. When I said I wanted to talk to him as my trainer, he hung up on me. I would like a refund for my summer sessions as well as any I have left. I have sent a message days ago and recieved no response. I have drove to the gym and **** refused to acknowledge me.At this point since no one seems to want to acknowledge me leaving me stranded with little options left. I’m going to have to result to calling corporate which is something I did not want to do as I was hoping I could settle this business with the current owners but they have also lacked in responding to me.I would like someone to call me at the earliest convenience to get this issue resolved as I do not plan on going back to an establishment with **** working at it.Business response

I am the person this complaint is about. ****** boyfriend is the former manager here and him and I had a disagreement that led to him being written up to which he subsequently quit. She never once vocalized any sort of complaints to me when I was training her. She only came up with new complaints after her boyfriend left and I took his position as the manger here. She sent multiple emails and was responded to and resolutions were tried but she denied them. The resolution provided was that she could train with the other trainer, ******, which she denied. She's allowed to train here and use her PT sessions but she refuses to. We have emails as well as internalized messages that prove all of this. Again, she only manufactured these complaints after the incident between her boyfriend and I and this is just a petty attempt at seeking revenge.
