I was given a proposal on 4/7/23 (attaching proposal) that I accepted on 4/11/23. On 5/4/23 they removed my wooden deck and framed the patio. They poured concrete on 5/11/23 and did the stamping and color. I sent him a text message that evening asking about spots being chunky on the patio. ***** stated that the power washing would take care of that. They came on 5/12/23 to pressure wash and seal the patio. I expressed my concerns to ***** on 5/13/23 that the patio had rough spots and was holding water in certain areas. ***** kept telling me that is how it was going to be. On 5/16 I asked him to come back and fix the patio because of the trip hazards and unevenness from the stamps. On 5/19 the patio failed inspection (report attached). ***** came back out on 5/22 and broke up the concrete patio and reframed it out. He poured concrete on 5/23 and did regular concrete after saying if he did the stamped it would come out the same way. We paid $1400 additional for the stamped concrete originally. We are seeking reimbursement for that money as we don't feel it's our fault that they didn't do the job correctly initially and couldn't provide what was originally paid for.

Hello This is OandC Conrete *************** to a complaint thats was made on 05/27/2023 Ive attached some photos below that the stamp concrete patio was done the right way but when the patio was done she didnt like the patio they way it looked but the patio was done correctly so what I did to make her happy is i took the stamped patio out and we talked about regular concrete. We agreed on doing it for the same price which I lost money for doing that but I just wanted to make her happy. She signed the proposal two times which the first one was for the stamped concrete and the second one was for the regular concrete for the same price which I lost money on the other hand I should of asked her for money for doing it the second time which I did not do because I want to leave my customers happy I have proof of her signing the proposal twice but it seems like she is back with her ex boyfriend and they are now trying to take advantage of me asking me for money back Ive attached some photos below showing proof thats she signed the proposal twice and patio was done correctly if you take a look at the proposal below you see the signatures of her signing twice. if you have any questions contact me at any time .

I am rejecting this response because:  I am unsure what he means by my boyfriend came back.  That was my husband and I that were both unhappy with the outcome of this patio.  The reason they had to redo the patio was not just because I didn't like the patio.   The patio failed inspection because (per the inspection result):

      Final Building
      Overall Result: Fail
      Overall Remarks:
      Final patio
Patio finish has areas that stick up higher and can be a trip hazard. It appears stamping process was started prior to concrete being ready and created low areas from where workers were walking. In general patio done poor workmanship.
Please correct the above and request a reinspection once these issues have been addressed.

There was no way to "fix" the patio that he did and what I paid for.  I agreed to him doing the regular concrete because I did not trust them to redo the stamping correctly. Had the work been done correctly the first time, there would have been no issues and I would not be seeking reimbursement for the $1400 difference I was charged for the Stamped Concrete as apposed to what we received at the end.  As a business, they should have corrected their work and made things right by charging me only what I ultimately received.  I can provide photos of the original patio if needed, however they were sent on the original complaint.

      Sincerely,

      *************************

      Complaint: 20113321

I am rejecting this response because:  I do not want to continue to go back and forth with this company.  I paid for work to get done, they didn't do it correctly and had to redo it as a result of poor workmanship (The village used those words - not me).  I just want the additional money back that I paid for the stamped portion, that I did not receive done.  No one threatened them, and yes I am writing bad reviews about them - because they are not an honest company and didn't do a good job.  I would not recommend them to any one.

      Sincerely,

Hello this is O and C Concrete Im replying to the claim number which is #********

Like I said the first time she is trying to take advantage of me if you look at the proposal she signed  2 times which she agreed. When she signed the second time we agreed that she wasnt going to ask for money back or I was gonna ask her for any money even though that I lost money. I took money out of my pocket to pay my crew and to pay the concrete In reality I should be the one asking her for money back because I was the one thats lost money but me and her talked and agreed that we werent gonna ask each other about money but it looks like she didnt keep her word which made me disappointed and made me not trust anybody anymore. If you look at the photos I send in the proposal I highlighted the signature were she signed and I also highlighted her initials.I attached some photos below so you can look at them you can see that she signed twice and agreed both times. I also did some piers to support her roof from the back for no charge basically for free and Im not asking for any money like she did.
