I came to visit my granddaughter shes in navy for thanksgiving, I have pull my back and was in terrible pain, my husband took me to this urgent care, the nurse practitioner knew I was in pain she decided to tell me she cant do nothing for me and to go to ER all I need some muscle relaxer it a bad experience if you dont know a diagnosis get a Doctor you job is to help people Iam a nurse for 37 years I knew my diagnosis need a simple no narcotics medicine never going back. You made my staying h***

I took my wife to the PromptMed Urgent care located in *******,** today Saturday the 29th of October, around 1:20pm.After explaining to lady at the front desk the reason of our visit,she asked us about my wife's Id and Insurance,when she saw that my wife had a ****************** coverage,she expained to us that PromptMed doesn't accept state insurances.I told her that I was ready to pay for their services from my own pocket,but she said that they cannot provide any services to my wife since she has an insurance coverage from the state.I never heard anything like this anywhere in the world,to be refused a service you are willing to pay for it with cash.I am thinking maybe,it's just discrimination,pure and simple.PromptMed Urgent Care Response

Nordean,This is the actual law and is part of your wife's agreement with accepting Medcaid from the State of **! If a patient presents with ******** to any facility that is not in-network with ********, that facility is not allowed to see that patient on a cash basis. The patient must go to a facility that accepts ********. If we did see a patient with ******** our providers wouldn't be able to prescribe medication to any of the pharmacies as well.
