I hired storm restoration to represent me on my hail damage claim with my insurance ( State Farm), storm restoration did not complete the work agreed in the claim. I have contacted Storm Restoration over 8 times on a completion date and they start the work has been completed. The work has not been completed, I have the second insurance check that storm restoration want but i need the work to be completed before I can give them the State Farm issued check. Thank you for your message. Storm Restoration Pros (SRP)completed the roof and gutter to your home in November of 2019.
Our records indicate your case has a pending debt with SRP.Therefore, SRP reserves the right to continue/schedule work upon receipt of payment,according to line 11. of the agreement form you consented to on 6/17/19.
Please also refer to, (815 ILCS 603/15, which states:
A contractor or subcontractor who is not paid as required by this Act may, after providing 7 calendar days' written notice to the party failing to make the required payment, suspend performance of a construction contract without penalty for breach of contract, until the payment required pursuant to this Act is made.
In addition, there is work performed to your property that was not paid by and will be paid by your insurance carrier, however, requested to be performed by your towns ******************* as per City Code. Items such as:
Replacement of sheathing/ OSB
Installation of Ice and Water Shield
Storm Restoration Pros also reserves the right to abide by line 12. of the agreement form you consented to on 6/7/19 Storm Restoration Pros is not responsible for any non- recoverable depreciation or any other items not covered by customers insurance policy including, code upgrade. Therefore, there is a debt pending for the installation of the items above.
As it stands SRP has performed the work for roof and gutters as follows:
Home Roof $5,302.26
Code Item Ice and Water $448.34
Code Item Sheathing $386.88
Permit Fee $95.00
City Inspection Fee $45.00
Guttering $511.81
Garage Roof $2,691.85
Haul Debris $152.73
Total: $9,633.87
Less payment 7/22/19 -$2,905.33
Pending: $6,728.54

I am rejecting this response because:I had an agreement with Storm Restoration that they would complete all the work on the claim with StateFarm. Storm Restoration was going to deduct my deductible. The did not complete all the work on the work order and these numbers they have provided dont look accurate. Ive contacted the original representative (*******) that no longer works for Storm Restoration and he did tell me that the agreement was they represent me and they get the money provided by State Farm on the claim. Storm Restoration instead contacted State Farm for the final payment witch I have to provide to them when they complete the work that was agreed upon. Ive contacted their office multiple times to only be told a supervisor will return my call and still hasnt since 2019.

I am rejecting this response because:I have received another check from State Farm and have not heard from storm Restoration on what they plan on doing with completing the job. My case is closed with State Farm and I will not be able to receive depreciation on the stuff that was not complete.

Storm restoration pros put a new roof, siding and gutters on my home in 2019. They left cords hanging in two locations and never returned to fix it. They were made aware of it . Six months after the installation of the new roof the roof leaked in my kitchen which I called the representative of storm pro and told him about it. He said someone would come to fix it but never had anyone come out. It has leaked two more times since. Last year the insurance company sent two checks one for $334 and one for $60 to send to them but I than called the representative and told them they needed to fix the problems at my house. I left a message because they did not answer. I found their number for the company in west ******* ** since the representative wouldnt answer. I told them Id be glad to pay their fees if they sent someone to my home to fix the hanging cords and check the leaking roof.I was told the representative and contractor do not work for their company anymore and they will not send anyone to my home and if I dont pay they will send my **** to a collection agency. Can you please help me to resolve this issue?Business response

Thank you for your message. Storm Restoration Pros completed the laminate roof,gutters, and siding to your home in 2019.
It appears that there may have been an issue with communicating your concerns due to the following reason; as you stated, the representative who assisted you is no longer with SRP. We take our clients concerns seriously, therefore, we regret for your concern not being communicated promptly.
A call to our office was made on 1/13/2022 verbalizing your concerns regarding the cord and leak.
Prior to this phone call, an email reflecting the pending debt was sent by your insurance carrier of which included our contact information entitled to these funds we would ask that you send a check for a total of $394.42 payable to Storm Restoration Pros and mail it to ****************************************************************, on 10/19/21.
Thereafter,letters were sent to your home to collect the pending balance on 11/10/21, 12/1/21 and again on 12/17/21.
A payment was received on 1/10/22 by you via mail, however, as you state there was still a pending balance need to be made for the work performed at your home. Therefore,an additional collection letter was sent on 1/11/22.
SRP was concerned as to the reason for so much time and opportunities to communicate the concern had passed when we were first contacted via telephone call on 1/13/22.On 1/19/22 a service inspection was performed at your property to address your concerns. The following was performed:
-Loosened Cables: A TV cable was secured- photo attached
-Thorough inspection of the work SRP had performed was examined and found to in adequate condition with no signs of water intrusion.
-Roof Leak: it was confirmed that the source of water intrusion came from the flat/ rubber roof, of which was not replaced and/or disturbed by SRP as it was not a part of our scope of repairs. Evident signs of weathering and wear and tear were identified and with your authorization, our representative sealed the areas of water intrusion as temporary repairs.
-All the information above was communicated and a request for an estimate from SRP was made to repair the areas of water intrusion.
-You provided the pending payment to the representative.
