Hello, on the June 6th 2022 I finished paying off a lease purchase on a 2016 Freightliner Tractor from Co Lines Inc. During the first 25 weeks I was liable to pay in $100 weekly until a $2,500 escrow account was built up to cover cargo claims. The money deposited in that account according to Co Lines Inc. Lease agreement should and would be released and reimbursed back to the lessee after 45 days of having no cargo claims. In the event of me completing my fourty five days I spoke with the Accountant manager ****** and the owner *****. They both explained to me that upon returning their fuel card, tags, truck decals, binder with registration and trailer rental that I would be free to pay off the truck and close out my account with a zero balance. I then asked, since we are zeroed out and I dont owe you anything why isnt it possible for me to receive my $2,500 escrow with you all knowing I dont have any liable insurance cargo claims? They responded with we will pay you in 45 days as the contract states. I then agreed after paying them off $28,344.43.. Before leaving with my truck paid off in full I asked how would payment be made. ****** the accountant manager replied that I would need to call her on the 20th of July and remind her of payment. Im then wondering why should I have to remind a business of their priorities concerning paying back contractors escrows. I also asked for my monthly fuel rebate that was also owed to me for the amount of $173.00.. She replied that they couldnt pay me that either until the following month. I waited 45 days of my ending contract date and called ****** the account manager like she asked me to do. She ignored my call so I then sent an email and got no reply. I followed up with her again on Wednesday the 20th of July 2022. She answered the phone and we discussed my account. I asked if she had my fuel rebate together as well as my $2,500 escrow release. I was denied my escrow and they presented a fraudulent invoice on a trailer.
