On August 3, 2024, my 2015 Mazda CX-9 abruptly turned off with no indication or warning and total loss of power steering. I checked the oil level and it was almost triple the normal amount. I had my car towed to *****, who confirmed my internal water pump failed causing catastrophic damage to my engine. Repair estimate $10,500-$14,500 (I still owe $9000. Mechanic said he had seen tjis many times before and even if I could afford the repair it was inadvisable give their bad experiences with this vehicle. A simple ****** search revealed class action suit with this exact problem. Mazda knew about this in 2007 and continued to sell them knowing it was a manufacturer error. I owe 9k on a car worth nothings. I contacted Mazda and they said there is nothing they can Do.Initial Complaint

I went in for an inspection to Mazda Carlsbad in ********** and they had me sign paperwork ahead of time agreeing to work that theyd do without even looking at the car. They did an inspection which showed no work needed to be done and then did what they state was $1900 worth of work. They had me get new spark plugs which I later found out in the owners manual I wasnt even due for until ****** miles (my car is at ****** miles). They also did an air intake cleaning service for $210.99 which I spoke with another mechanic who laughed and said thats not a thing. They really just take advantage of people so please do yourself a favor and do not go here its just awful. Reporting to the better business bureau and getting a lawyer involved. They took a video inspection (screenshot attached as I cant post videos here) that lasts *********************************************************************************************************************************** saying what needed to be done. When I went through the owners manual the only things that are even supposed to be done at ****** miles is the engine oil and filter, cabin filter, and tire rotation.Customer response

I have been trying to get my airbag recall done (since the airbag kills people) and Mazda has made no real effort in accommodating me with a life threatening recall. I have called several times and attempted to get this recall done but yet Mazda literally tells me I need to invonvince my life over a recall that is their fault. I've been told the soonest I can get A LIFE THREATENING recall fixed is within weeks and they cant provide rental cars or loaners. This company is literally letting people roll the dice with their lives over this recall and will not make any effort into accommodations that fit! I didn't put deadly airbags in my car! They need to fix this!
