      I have had a Culligan water filtering system for approximately 25 years. Throughout that time it has been relatively good service, good product and have been satisfied with my water. However, the last three years have been a nightmare. The service department technicians have been ill equipped to keep my unit running efficiently and effectively, causing many leaks and a couple floods in my home. And recently, the response time to have technicians to service the unit has been awful! Often, having to wait 30 to 45 days for a technician to drive my home. I Discontinuing my service with them today through lots of trepidation and remorse. So sad! I will not be recommending their service or products ever again. Especially from this particular area in ********.

      Had a water filtration system installed and the installer left the water running in a bathroom that over flowed. The water had been running for over 8 hours! The local Culligan office was very nice but said that someone from Corporate would be calling. *************************** called and was very rude and spoke over me several times. Said that the flooding was caused because the drain must have been slow! I said the flooding happened due to the negligence of the installed who let the faucet run for 8 hours. Then ***** said that the installer didn't turn on the faucet. Well, the installer asked me where the nearest faucet or bathroom is and so I showed him. ***** said that they don't take any responsibility or liability about the flooding and the damage it caused. The damage is huge. A whole bedroom needed to have the carpet removed, the bathroom has warping and the hard wood floors in the basement are buckling. For such a reputable company, this is disappointing and has zero customer service. I would never recommend Culligan to anyone. If you want to save yourself from a headache, find another water company. One that has has honor and can provide you with help.

      My husband and I recently built a new house and had Culligan come to give us a quote on having quality drinkable water. The salesperson came to the house and tested the water and said that we have terrible iron and hard water and my husband explained to him that we want to protect our appliances from iron and be able to wear white clothes etc. Salesperson stated that this could be accomplished with a two part system that cost ****. So we bit the bullet and purchased this system and they came installed. After moving in the house, we noticed that the salt content in the drinking water was undrinkable so we contacted salesperson and they came back out and made adjustments to the system. We still had considerable salt taste in the water and then after a few weeks, we had noticeable iron appearing in our sinks, toilets, and showers. We then called back to salesperson, *****, and told them we were very disappointed in what the system is doing and that he promised a product that isn't delivering. When my husband told ***** that he had told us that this system would take care of our iron problem and what the first system didn't take care of, the polisher would take care of the rest. ***** then proceeded to tell my husband that he said no such thing basically calling my husband a liar regarding conversation. He then said he would come to the house with a tech to take a look at the system and see what they could do for us. The day of the appointment, tech showed up with no *****. He apparently had somewhere else that was more important. Tech came out and we once again explained to tech we are using a considerable amount of salt every month (for two people) and that the water is undrinkable (we still continued to buy bottled water to drink). Tech stated there wasn't a whole lot he could do about that, it pretty much is a balancing act between iron content and salt in the water. Tech made call to ***** and asked what he needed to do and he was told to install a carbon filter after the system to help cutback on the iron (nothing to help fix the salt content). Of note, we also have a whole house filter that we were advised might help. As of today, we still have iron coming through and still can't drink our water (and where the system dumps into our yard, it's completely killing our grass and keeps our yard soaked in that area) and now have to consider spending out more money for a Reverse osomosis system to try and make our water drinkable. I will never recommend this company to anyone as we are out a bunch of money and still no resolution. Salespeople at Culligan make promises that system can't deliver on.

      They installed a reverse osmosis spout on my kitchen sink. and the system in my room below; mechanical room. The installer stated when he left if you notice a leak call us. 30 days later my room under the sink; mechanical room; was flooded. He drilled a whole in my drain pipe so all the sink and dishwasher drainage was dipping into the walls below. It took 30 days to fill up the walls and flood my mechanical room. This room consists of washer, dryer, utility sink, Hot water heater, furnace, pressure tank, salt tank and softener. I have called a restoration company they will perform mold mitigation; tearing out everything including flooring and drywall; but will not put anything back. I have 5 quotes to get the floor, drywall, paint and all the equipment back, not to mention a 3rd party water because we will only have cold water for a tank provided by the 3rd party for 1 week or more. Issue their insurance company only wants to pay for 1/2 of the $14K - $15K to fix it. BAD BUSINESS and I have a mess. CAUTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
