I hired contractor and sent first payment 7/11 for a complete home build. I have paid contractor a total of 186k to date. The last draw of 67K was foe him to complete the inside of the home. This Contractor was supposed to complete the whole home build based off of our contract. Everything was moving well until in December we found a leak in dormer. Contractor he stated he fixed it. The end of February there was lots of rain and the inside of my home was completely saturated. The insulation guys(subcontractor) found the leak and reported it to Contractor. He attempted to fix dormers four times. Had insulation put up. Insulation ended up saturated the next week to where we could squeeze excessive water out. Inspector was called and He sent contractor list of what needs fixed. Contractor agreed to fix and home owner agreed to let him try. The week he was supposed to repair, he text saying he will not be out to repair and to find someone else. He refuses to sit down and get homeowner itemized list and receipts to agree on a stopping point in contract. He is overpaid and work he has done is no water tight seal. Homeowner is out thousands of dollars in overpayment AND soon to be repairs
