Last year I caught Covid and my work ordered me to receive a covid test to return to work. I was told from other people at my work that there was no **** at the Dekalb walk-in clinic. Multiple people had already gone and received their test and got no **** from them. I went in on 09/07/21 requesting only a test done and asked the nurse to make sure there was no charge for only a test which she confirmed. I had the test administered and was given a prescription for an inhaler even after stating I didn't want anything, as I was already feeling better. I left and never filled the prescription. Two weeks later I received a **** for ******. I called billing to discuss why I had been charged and they originally claimed I went in for a cough and not a Covid test. They also claimed I was seen and treated for by a doctor, but I had only been seen by an RN. they told me they would review the **** and after a few weeks when I reached back out to them billing said that it was indeed a mistake and they declared they would erase my balance. This call took place around 10/19/21. On 03/02/22 I received another **** from the clinic. I called billing again and they told me nothing had ever been done to the **** except a note was put on that they couldn't access and routed me to a person who would and we left a voicemail to relay our issue. When she called us back she had told us that she could see the notes and that changes were made but said that she wasn't apart or didn't understand some part of it. we reiterated that the **** had already been removed and had gotten confirmation from a member of her ***** stating so. we also stated that we had only gone in for a test and had been charged as a cough and had been seen by a doctor. She told us she would review this and contact us. we received a letter from her a while later and it basically said we were making the whole thing up. we were told that our calls confirming our debt was wiped don't exist and we were seen by a doctor.
