First, the agreed upon shape and dimensions are drastically different than what we planned for. The shape was to be a rectangle apx 55-ft wide at the front, 45-ft in wide in back, and 40-ft long on sides. It was made very clear at that time that the north-side of the fence was to follow the line of our deck. We realized that there might be slight changes to the shape and dimensions due to all the trees on the property once the installers arrived. Their reasoning was that it is the same amount of material. The width of the front side now prevents me from getting my UTV to my back property.The installers came during a rain while I was at work in ************ and my wife was on business calls at home. They were only supposed to drop material and **** off the first day. They made a cursory effort to have her inspect their new markings, but the conditions made it virtually impossible to envision at the time. Had I seen these new markings, I would never have given permission for this job to continue. The job was estimated to take 2-4 days they completed it in half a day. This is some of the worst work Ive seen done in 30 yrs of home ownership. Besides not following any of the measurements or dimensions, the work was done in a very shoddy manner corners are not straight, sections are misaligned and bent, and cuts are so poorly done and ragged, I actually cut my finger on one.We were assured the materials were of commercial quality. The thickness of the top rails is only 0.065-inch. To qualify as commercial or heavy-duty residential grade, the material should be 0.080-inch or HF20 (14 gauge). The fabric is also low quality (13 gauge), not the 11- or 9-gauge wire that constitutes commercial. Also, note the finish is incomplete on several sections of the top rails, assuring it will rust in a very short time. The company was completely unwilling to make any corrections to this job, besides a $500.00 discount.
