I am filing a complaint on this business due to unfair business practice. I submitted a maintenance request due to my sink was leaking. Mind you I had this issue before with the sink on February 2023. When this happened in February it cause the pipes within the walls to burst which made a big wet mess. Due to that issue roaches started to appear. Which I am handling that infestation with my own funds via *****. Due to this previous issue I didnt think twice to put in a work order. Little did I know that putting a work order in would cost me over $300!! They had someone come out which he realized it wasnt a leak and it was only clogged! Mind you this sink does not have a garbage disposal, yet the garbage disposal is right there not in use! The company does not want to install it. Had I known my sink was only clogged I wouldve took it upon myself to unclog it! I wouldve taken care or it for way less than $300! I am single mom of 2 kids and this company has added $389 to my already $1,050 rent. I have never been late in rent in the 1 year that I have rented with them. They failed to disclose to me that I would be charged for simply handling the work order. Again, if I knew what the problem was I wouldnt have put in a request! I wouldve handled it myself! I understand the contract states some things the tenant handles on its own. I just feel bamboozled that I was unaware of the issue & charged for it! I also called to speak to property manager **** and she immediately became unprofessional and would not listen to my concern and plea for understanding. Her emotions got in the way and did not handle my concern with empathy what so ever. She literally stated, I am not about to argue with you. I am very disappointed in the way this company handles this. This was very morally wrong to do! You dont just charge people additional things without letting them decide wether they can handle the issue at hand.
