Well I was looking at the other reviews for byrider and over the last several months you can see a progression of them selling junk cars to people it's really sad but they sold me a car I haven't had it a year and it needs a new engine and they want me to pay him over $2,000 before I can even get the car back and not to mention they had it a month and they're going to have another month to fix it they are a jokeByrider Response

Not very happy back in 2021 we gotten a Pathfinder and within 6 months it broke down we returned it and they still charging me $11,000 for it and it's on my credit report and stopping me from getting ahead with my credit and loans and I feel I should have to pay anything because we returned the vehicle to them and was gonna pay to get it fix along with other things they try to say was wrong with it that we would have to pay out of Pocket along with what was wrong with the engine and I don't want to give them 1 star but can't submit my review unless I doReview from Jolene N

I bought a 2016 ***** Sonic with about ****** miles; it now has ******. I drove off the lot in December of 2023 and during my 3 month/ 30000 mile service warranty I brought my car to them at least 4 times in the first 3 months and they could never figure out what was wrong with my car, since my warranty is now expired I've had it in the shop down the street from my address because I now can't even afford to get a tow and the owner is a family friend. I cannot afford to fix all the problems with this car, soon I won't be able to afford the payment. I'm trapped and really don't know what else to do. There is no way that this vehicle keeps having problems when I've only driven about 2000 miles in 5 months. This was supposed to improve my credit and enable me to work, go to school, take care of my kids but has instead caused financial hardship. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.Review from David S

My son was so excited about buying his first car against my better judgment he went to byrider and got 2014 ***** Cruze drive it for a couple months and it kept overheating so after having it in there shop several time they decided the head gasket was blown so they changed it and the turbo fine cost is 1600 bucks for something that should have been under warranty a month later same thing they tell us coil packs are bad got that fixed 2 weeks later same thing this company is the absolute worse company to buy a vehicle from now we are in the process of trying to get them to fix the head gasket once again not to mention he is paying 25K for car worth 6k he is so tired of messing with this company we went and got a new car from a real dealership with a real warranty DO NOT BUY FROM BYRIDERReview from Kathy R

These people should be put out of business. If you buy a vehicle from this place, you will regret it with every ounce of your being. Total rip-off. I got a vehicle there after my son wreced my car, and within 50 days of purchase, the first check engine light came on. I was told to go to an auto shop and get a code reader. When i called them back, I was advised, " No, that isn't covered under your warranty". 1800 dollar repair, not even 2 months after driving it off their lot. This began a series of multiple breakdowns and tows, each time, when I called in to Byrider, I was advised, "Warranty doesn't cover ANY of it". After $7,993.57 cents out of pocket to oay for repairs just to keep it on the road, I had a starting issue...again. This time i took it to a dealer for the model of the vehicle, who said, in their opinion, the vehicle was probably a total loss, from a FLOOD, and should never have been sold because it was unsafe. I had it towed to another ASE certified mechanic shop, who seconded the Jeep dealership opinion, of it was a totaled vehicle, with evidence that it was in a flood, should never have been sold, and to get a lawyer. The first issue was a catalytic converter, then it snowballd to wiring harness, 2 oxygen sensors, all 4 wheel and hub sensors, alternato, cam and crank sensore, spark plug wires, valves, points, timing chain, 4 wheel drive sensor, and it died in January, with an estimate of 7500 dollars to replace the entire wiring system and motor, nit to mention the mold found under the upholstery. It sits still at a garage, and I am NOT putting another ***** into it. Do NOT buy from these people. If you do, hire a lawyer beforehandReview from roberta r

The sales man lies to me about the price of the vehicle, I wanted a truck and they gave me a ***** track. The first 2 weeks I had it the heat went out on the coldest day of this past winter. They said they fixed it then went right back out. They took me into two different rooms before I could even look at the vehicle to sign contracts because it was late In the day. I did not get to test drive the car or even have enough light to even check out the vehicle. Before trading in my Dodge Ram. I asked them if I could get another vehicle they said no. Two weeks after that the valve casket went bad, so since then my vehicle has been in the shop every 2 weeks. The last time it needed a turbo booster and and the plugs all replaced. They charged me to fix it when they already knew it was going bad. I feel they just sell lemon cars and dont really keep there word about all the warrantys on the vehicle. Since the turbo booster was fixed. The same day I went to go pick it up. Giving them my last of my money. On my way home the turbo boosters hose came loosen and my ride that took me to pick up the vehicle saw it dragging under my vehicle half way home. At the same time getting out of my vehicle to check it out we also noticed while it was in there care to fix it the hood has been dented on both sides, there is a dent on the driver door, and the hoods paint is chipping. I would not recommend this company to any one. They come at you nice then stab you in the back with outstanding car fees, half done work, and more charges on top of a vehicle that is already falling apart.Review from Kitana B
