On September 20, 2021 I paid $304.75 to RCI for 4 days at their Pocono Mountain Resort. the account belongs to my Brother *************************. We cancelled the reservation on November 29, 2012. The reservation was for December 8 to 12, 2012. We asked for a return of the money and was denied by the representative. we told him that there was no mention of no refund when the reservation was made. He told us that even if that was true it is stated at the bottom of the receipt. there is nothing written at the bottom of the receipt about no refund. The reservation #*********. I am seeking to have my money returned to the card it was taken from.Customer response

I went to add ************* Protection on an existing reservation with RCI as we may not be able to travel now due to COVID exposure. When I went on the RCI website to add it under that reservation, it specifically states "Add ************* Protection for just $89USD. Trading power Protection can be purchased from 28-Jun-2021 to 06-Nov-2021."Anyone who reads that would gather that this can be added for $89 between those dates. However, when going to make the purchase, it says it's $129 with no explanation as to why there is a $40 difference. I called in and got one rude woman named *** who said it's because it has to be added within 15 days. Where is that on the page for the purchase?! If that is the case, it should state something along those lines of if made prior to 15 days prior to reservation, then $89 and after $129. This is very misleading statement between the representative and what is specifically stated on the reservation when adding the protection. I had to choice but to add it due to the situation of which RCI is one business not doing anything around COVID which is very sad. All other companies are extending points and rewards due to COVID but RCI is not without paying more money. Very disappointing. Makes me not want to renew my membership. I think RCI should honor what is stated on the website when adding the protection to the reservation or someone needs to make the right statement when adding it under the reservation. I was rudely told to go find the policy and read it. I have screenshot to prove the point. I shouldn't have to go make 10+ clicks to find it when it should state that clearly under the reservation when adding the protection. False and misleading advertising.Business response
