I purchased a 2020 ***** Camaro vehicle on 3-15-2024 from Frankie's Auto Sales, in ****.I am disputing the amount of money returned to me after the vehicle was returned on 5-1-2014 with only 212 miles driven. The business returned only $5750.00 via a check.I had requested they take vehicle back only 4 days after purchase for several reasons. I had notified the business of my loss of income as a caregiver for mother who suddenly had a turn of health and now in a interminal state of health. they were made aware of mom's health situation in person and via phone many times.This was a sudden turn of health for mom.I ****** car back 4 days after purchase for acid rain stained windows which were unable to get resolved.2: again let them know of loss of income and inability to make payments.3: I asked them to take back vehicle but they would not take back, rather suggested that I make a first payment and wait at least 2 weeks.mother was with ******* and died on April 25th.I would like to have all of my down payment ($10,000.00 in total) returned. business owner, *****, has not returned my calls and all my calls have been unanswered for 5 days. called 2 more times and phone not answered.this vehicle was returned on the morning mom was cremated.once again, I just want my down payment money, in total, returned.thank you for help *********************Business response

We do not have a return policy at Frankie's Auto Sales. The loan paperwork was processed, and title work submitted to the State. We were/are under no obligation to accept return of the vehicle. While 6 weeks does not seem like a long time, used car pricing is always volatile and the vehicle regardless of time has lost book value. We also spent a significant amount of time with the customer as well as completing all required paperwork with the State and bank. While an unfortunate situation, ************ willfully entered into the decision, and it was not her first visit to the location. We refunded what was a fair amount to unwind, payoff, and return to stock the vehicle she had purchased. At this time we have met and exceeded all of our obligations. It was within our rights to refuse to take any action.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
*******'s facts are incorrect. the time from initial purchase to return was just over 2 weeks, not 6.The "sigificant" amount of time spent with me, as they claim, was time discussed about my situation and attempt to return on day 4 after purchase. Time with customers should not have a monetary amount attached.
The amount kept was totally unreasonable and their obligations were NOT exceeded had they accepted the return when 1st requested. They discouraged my return and asked that I WAIT and make a first payment (in good faith). Bank, and other paperwork had not been completed yet within that time.
This was my FIRST, and it will be the last, time I do any business at *******'s, and I will make sure to tell others beware.Business response

While we respect the customers opinion, we still disagree with her position. It was not her first visit to *******'s. We do not have a return policy. The vehicle was mechanically sound. She absolutely knew her situation going into it. We refunded the majority of her money to her. We strive to make everyone satisfied and have over 23 years of business to support that. We did nothing wrong and tried to make a resolution that was fair to everybody. Unfortunately, we are going to have to say no to her requests.Initial Complaint

Took my car to the shop several times for water damage in the trunk. After thinking the problem was solved my grandfather and I later noticed the trunk was still submerged in water after being told the issue was resolved. We placed sealant on on a part that we suspected could be causing the issue, but that did not resolve the issue either because several days later the trunk was full of water and letting out a foul odor once again. The wires in the trunk have been wet on multiple occasions and the dealership has not fixed the issue after looking at the vehicle after multiple visits.Business response
