I signed a lease for an apartment at Greenleaf Manor Apartments in 2020 (B208). In 2021, I transferred to another apartment (A202) in the same complex without issue. I signed the lease for the second apartment on October 1, 2021. The property manager told me I was in another 12 month lease, I had no issues the first year so I went ahead and signed, not noticing the lease was actually 13 months, ending November 30, 2022. I notified the apartment complex in September 2022 that I would be moving out and not resigning my lease for the 2022-2023 year. The property manager said she noted on my account that I would be moving out by the end of the lease, November 30, 2022. During the month of October I realized I would be able to be out of the apartment before November 1, 2022 so I emailed *************************, the property manager, asking if it would be alright for me to turn my keys in on November 1st, as long as I still paid the rent for November and she agreed. I have emails to prove this exchange. When I reached out again trying to turn my keys in I was informed by the new property manager that my lease showed it expired on December 31, 2022 and that I was breaking the lease and would have to pay to leave. I met with him and showed him the lease agreement I signed in October 2021 stating the end of my lease, he took copies of the lease with the dates and did a walk through of the apartment with me and agreed my lease ended November 30, 2022 and told me he would process my security deposit to be returned. Fast forward to December 2022, I am getting calls from *****************************, a collection agency, stating that Greenleaf contacted them that I broke lease and owe over $3000.00. They are also calling ******************************* who was on the first lease with me, but NOT the second lease, stating he is responsible and owes for the apartment as well. There were several issues with the apartment complex during my stay especially with Maintenance.Initial Complaint

We have a water leak underground coming up through the floor of the apartment for the past three months and they are not trying to fix the problem.
