Called Jarboes and let them know that I needed my hot water heater element changed and I had already bought the part and asked for a ballpark quote on the job, the refuse to give a quote over the phone. The website and google search both say in big read letters FREE QUOTES so I agreed. They came to my house and confirmed the diagnosis and then quoted me $320 WITH me supplying the part AND they weren’t even going to drain the sediment that caused the element to break in the first place, they just created a vacuum. I declined service as I knew it’s an easy job and not worth $320 and I wasn’t happy that they weren’t going to do the job correctly and drain the water heater. They said I owe them $100 for a diagnostic to which I pointed out 1) I already had a diagnosis and the part before I called 2) I asked for a ballpark price over the phone for that exact job and was declined 3) it literally says FREE QUOTES in giant red letters on the front of their website and there is NO asterisk next to that wording but they claim it’s only free installs on new HVAV systems which is NOT what the advertising shows. They are now threatening to send me to collections over the $100 diagnosis fee despite their advertising and the fact that I had already diagnosed itBusiness Response

Thank you for reaching out. I want to clarify our service and pricing structure to address your concerns.
Service/Dispatch Fee & Diagnostics – As stated when you scheduled your appointment on a recorded line (twice, including when you called back to confirm after thinking about it), our standard $98 service/dispatch fee covers the diagnostic process. This fee applies regardless of whether or not a repair is performed.
Repair Pricing & Estimates – We do not provide free estimates for repairs, as repairs are quoted during the service visit, once a licensed technician has diagnosed the issue. Free estimates—as clearly stated on our website—apply to larger projects that require evaluating multiple components, such as system installations or major upgrades, not standard repairs.
Your Repair Quote – The $320 quote included not just labor but also our warranty-backed service, performed by a licensed technician. While you supplied a part, parts purchased online are not always of the same quality as those we source and install, and we warranty the work and the materials we use.
Applied Discount – We actually applied a $100 coupon for you, which would have covered the service call, effectively waiving that fee had you proceeded with the repair. However, you declined service.
Final Notes – Our technician followed standard procedures and provided an accurate diagnosis and repair quote per company policy. The fee you were billed for was clearly communicated and agreed upon before scheduling.
We understand that pricing and policies can sometimes be misunderstood, but we always strive to be transparent with our customers. If you have further concerns, we are happy to discuss them, but the $98 service charge remains valid as it was agreed upon.

I have called Jarboe's several times regarding an invoice that was paid through Jarboe financing team *********** I had several plumbing repairs that needed to be fixed so my home could be sold. I applied for financing through ******** to cover all repairs, however, I was told by Jarboe the repairs had to be separated on multiple invoices due to the types of repairs. I ended up receiving a total of four invoices, they said the invoices could not be combined and only one could be financed. I ended up financing the largest invoice in the amount of $1724 - Invoice* ******* - work was completed on 11/15/2024. I didn't hear anything else back until 12/20/2024 when I learned they didn't rightsize the invoice to the ******** financing and I was overcharged by $576. The ******** finance company paid Jarboe's at total of $2300 for the invoice. I've called several times to get this situation cleared up, each time I'm told I would receive a call back yet NO ONE ever returns my call. I need to be reimbursed for the over payment and have the check sent to the correct location. At one point, trying to get this resolved, I was told a refund was sent to the old address in December. I've stated more than once I never received the check and need to have a new one sent to the correct address. I explained during my 4th call I was frustrated with being blown off, and once again, was told I would receive a call back that never happened.Business Response

Please know that this remains a priority for us, and we will update you as soon as the reissued check is on its way. Thank you again for your patience, and we truly appreciate the opportunity to make this right.

On 7/28/23 Jarboe's Heating, Cooling & Plumbing sent 2 men to our house to install a new A/C & Furnace system. Upon completion I said to one of the men that there wasn't much air coming out of the vent and the house was not cooling off. He stated, after a couple of hours it would be fine and the house would cool down and left, this was at 2 PM. At almost 6 PM the house was still at 80 degrees so I called their 24 hour service line and let them know what was going on. Around 9 PM the repair man was here and he immediately saw several issues The main being the airflow space was inadequate. He stated to not turn it back on because it could damage the new A/C unit. He said someone would be in contact with us soon and left. The A/C ran from about 1 PM to 9 PM improperly installed. Initially we were okay with them coming to repair our brand new unit, but then we started wondering what damage could had been done during the 8 hours it ran nonstop. My husband called the company and requested the improperly installed system be removed & replaced with a new one. He spoke with ****** at the Jarboe's on 8/2/23 and he agreed, it should be removed and replaced. A few hours later a VERY rude man, unfortunately he didn't get his name called back stating that ****** was not authorized to make those kind of decisions, and he would send someone out to our house to remove the improperly installed unit but not replace it. We paid $11, 400 for the new A/C & Furnace! We just want peace of mind knowing that we didn't invest in a system that could already be damaged from from being improperly installed. It is not our fault they have incompetent workers. All we are asking is they remove the improperly installed system and replace it with a new one correctly. If they will not accept this, then I want to make sure we are reimbursed for the total cost of everything we spent, to include the cost of the system, duct cleaning and the $397 estimate charge. We did not break the contract, they did.Business Response

They are a scam. I called them to perform their “$93 unclog any drain or it’s free” promotion and they sent an amateur plumber out who broke his snake off in my line which clogged up both of my showers completely. They then offered to fix their mistake for $2500. Mind you, I now have 2 showers that won’t function at all so they put me in a tough spot and offered me 15 year financing. I went back and forth with their customer service department who said that since it was their fault they would cover the cost of repair. Their supervisor then called me to tell me that their customer service associate didn’t have the authority to say that and he threatened to take me to court. Finally after ditching their company all together, I had another plumber come out to fix their mistake and it cost me under $200 and took less than an hour. ******* is a corporate scam who uses alluring promotions to get in to your house, mess something up, and then charge a fortune to fix while you’re back is against the wall. They should not be able to operate a business and they’re taking advantage of unsuspecting customers. They are frauds.Business Response

******** ** a company based on trust and customer service. All of our calls are recorded and most of these statements are not facts. This client does not live at this property, had no idea of the condition of the line and signed the disclaimer stating we are not responsible for drain lines that cannot be seen to know their condition. The client stated he has tons of plumbers in his back pocket but didn't want to call them out for their $125 minimum. He also stated he wanted his plumbers to repair the drain line so I agreed to have our plumbers remove the tip of the cable that got stuck in the line. I then received a text stating his plumbers repaired the line and he would blast us all over social media. It is very unfortunate this situation has occurred.Customer Answer

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:It is a bold face lie. I do in fact live at the property. I knew the conditions of the line. My line was draining, but slowly. Their plumber got their snake caught and clogged my vent pipe which rendered both of my showers useless for over a week. They weren’t draining at all and actually caused standing water to back up in my tubs. Tina told me they would split the cost and replace my lines for $1,000. My lines didn’t need to be replaced. Their snake needed to be removed and the plumbing vent cleared which was a simple fix.
When they’re tech finally came to remove their snake, they made an absolute mess in my bathroom, didn’t catch the draining water which then started filling up in an electrical socket. They removed my review from google to try and hide how their company handles business which should be illegal. Tina then lied and gaslit me on my Facebook review with the same false comments. ******* should be ashamed of how they handled this situation and there needs to be repercussions for their actions. This is how they take advantage of customers and are not fit to operate a business for consumers.
Sincerely,
******* *****Business Response

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:I never spoke with the President. I sent him an email that detailed my concerns and never received a response or acknowledgment. The only fair way to resolve this dispute is to allow me to post my honest review for the public to see on Google without removing it. They’re trying to sweep me under the rug and will continue to gaslight customers in the future with no penalties or loss to business. There’s been zero accountability for their actions.
Sincerely,

Incident occurred December 2022. I contacted Jarboes plumbing to fix an issue with our drainage. It was packed flowing into the house. I called the number and they arrived Saturday morning as the technician was trying to unclog. He used a sharp hook into PVC pipe causing damage technician stated they couldn’t get another technician out until a couple days later with an HD camera. I did not have the time to wait a couple days for someone to come out and fix the issue. The Jarboes technician use a sharp hook on the snake as he was unclogging with sharp objects and caused damage which mud was found in the PVC pipe, I had to get another company to come out and dig up the entire process it cost me over $2000 in repairs to fix this issue. I just want Jarboes company to reimburse me for what I had to fix due to neglect of the technicians work.Business Response

According to our records, on June 20 we were called for a clogged mainline. Our drain technician found a "clogged mainline backing up into bathroom. Cleanout holding water. Snaked with k-60 to street and cleared line. Flow good but bathroom still holding. Snaked towards home but cable wouldn't feed I to 90. Foundation cracked directly inline with mainline cleanout. No flow. Turned over to camera." The sewer supervisor with camera was schedule for 6/22 and was cancelled by the homeowner and was not rescheduled. On December 16th, we were called for a main line clearing needed. This was almost 6 months after the original call where we new there was a problem. Our drain technician went on 12/17 and the summary is as follows: "Arrived at location tested bathroom and kitchen and main was clogged and holding water removed the clean out plug in front of the house and used big machine to clear stoppage . I found that I was bringing /back mud and used 3 kinds of cutting blades all the same results could not restore system . Set up a sewer supervisor on Tuesday 12/20/22 8am-10am." Again, the camera was cancelled. Due to the fact the camera was cancelled twice, we are not responsible for any issues at this home as we would have seen the issues with the camera.Initial Complaint

Kitchen faucet was leaking around faucet & under sink. Jarboes had been highly recommended. They were very prompt in answering my questions and setting up convenient appointment. Plumber showed up on time. He diagnosed the issue. I had already purchased the faucet that I wanted (midpriced.) He priced out the job using MY faucet and also using Jarboe's faucet. He indicated I had purchased a cheap faucet. I was in shock when he gave the 1st price of $522.00 and that DID NOT INCLUDE their faucet!! That price was over $750.00 for a kitchen faucet replacement. I needed the job done so I agreed to it. He installed it and no leaks showed. I paid him. So later that evening while doing the dishes, I hear dripping under the sink. Sure enough water was leaking under the sink AGAIN! I called Jarboe's the next day and they promptly set a follow up. Later that day I got a call from the plumber who installed it as he wanted to know what had happened. I explained about leak and said that someone was coming that day to check on it. He explained that it was NOT a leaking pipe, it was water leaking around the fixture and Jarboe's plumbers' were NOT ALLOWED to put caulk around the base of the faucet!! I said so I, (a non plumber) have to buy caulk and put it around it? I asked if another plumber comes today, he will not be allowed to caulk it. I asked if I would have to pay another $522.00 to check this faucet and would I have to buy another one? He never really answered me but repeated I needed to caulk it. So I cancelled my appointment and purchased the necessary caulk & attempted to fix it TWICE. I didnt let it dry out enough the 1st time. But 2nd time I let sink and faucet dry out & then re-caulked. Waited a full week before using it!! Now it's still leaking under the faucet, caulk turns white again indicating moisture under there. Learned from several friends that prices for this repair SHOULD HAVE BEEN an average of $250-350. Stuck with leaky sink & broke!Business Response

According to our records, on 9/26/22, we installed an owner supplied faucet and a stop under the same fixture. The next day we received a call stating the kitchen faucet was leaking under the sink. We dispatched the plumber to return. When he called to confirm, the client stated the water wasn't coming from the faucet. The plumber thought the water was coming from splashing water and it getting under the seal. The appointment was then cancelled and we have not been back to the home. It there is an issue with our workmanship, please call to schedule a plumber to return. We do not warranty the customer supplied faucet itself.Initial Complaint

We purchased a brand new central air system from Jarboes Plumbing, Heating and Air 02\02\2015 and on August 27th the compressor on that Carrier unit went out. They came by Monday and wanted to charge us $3450.00 to repair the unit even though the compressor is still under a 10 Year manufaturer's warranty. When we purchased the Central Air unit they also sold us an extended "True Home" warranty for $985. They are true SCAM artist with how they treat people looking to buy products.Business Response

We are very sorry for any misunderstanding regarding your system warranty. You are currently under a parts warranty only due to the fact that there hasn't been maintenance on the system for over a year. We quoted labor and refrigerant. If you woudl liek to get back on track with maintenance, we are happy to order the compressor under warranty. Please call the office and ask for ****.
