The pricing for our move was estimated at a certain amount, and I was told that if the weight went up or down the pricing would be adjusted accordingly. When the movers weighted our stuff, it turned out it was about 10% less than originally estimated. A couple days after, when I got my invoice, the pricing hadn't been adjusted to reflect the actual weight so I called our booking person from www.****************.com (his name is Tim *****) but he insisted that I needed to pay the full estimated amount because he couldn't do anything and that Atlas Van Lines corp would have to make the adjustments after the fact. I told him that didn't make any sense and I believe he needed to adjust my final invoice before paying, but Tim refused and assured me that this is how things work and he would make sure everything would be adjusted after and I could reach out to him at any time. After the delivery of our furniture, I called Atlas Van Lines to ask about the adjustment and they told me that Tim from ****** ********** of California had to adjust the final invoice before I made my final payment. So now Tim **** is not answering my calls and Atlas Van Lines keeps saying that they don't know what is happening and that they will need time to sort things out. What a joke and fraud. Avoid this business because apparently is common practice to lie to their clients and overcharge.

I paid $16,700.0 for Atlas to move me from Californian to Texas.
After retrieving my items from storage and moving to my new home we found several items damaged and or broke but many large items missing.
10'/12' area rug, 20' telescoping bronze flag pole with large eagle topper, Brand new gorilla ladder, 1/2 of my 800 shot glasses collection from around the world and differ states and cities and more...
I filed a claim that I paid for insurance on our move.
After 7 weeks of many phone calls by me to atlas co and no return call from person in charge of my claim. I finally talked to someone they said my claim should be finished within a week. Two weeks later I heard nothing so I called and again left a message.
I got a return call that stated my claim was denied.

I was told a complete and full trace/investigation was done.

I spoke with the driver of atlas that moved me and he knew nothing of missing items or a claim being filed.
Driver did remember our gorilla ladder and said he would take care of it.
I also spoke with the other customer that was on same tuck as me. She was being delivered to after my stuff was dropped off.

****** was over 3 1/2 hrs late and unloaded most of my items in the dark by flashlight on their phones.

They were in such a hurry!

I was told my Atlas that I signed a paper that my items were checked off.
I have as never given any kind of a check off list (neither was other customer)

Driver ask me to sign a paper stating my items were delivered in my storage units.
He stated it does not mean all my items are there and or not damaged.
He said if I have missing or damaged items to call him not atlas because it comes out of his pocket.

I spoke with other customer and she has my area rug. She also stated no one from atlas called her to see if any items were delivered to her.

Atlas Van Lines takes no responsibility in my missing items and lied about doing a trace/investigation.

NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

Team from **** ***** arrived to my house to store my furniture in their warehouse. Furniture was not stored correctly, antique items arrived damaged and many items missing. The truck driver and team of 3 had no idea what was mine. Move was in September and I filed a claim with the company for all damages. It is now March. Received a phone call today from Alas claim dept. Offering $300 for a over 6,000 claim. Needless to say they should never be hired to move your furniture.

I recently was almost swindled by a low cost provider, and last minute realized my mistake. I called up Atlas who I have used in the past to pay a premium for a higher level of service. The initial quotes and service were good, but everything went down hill quickly. I was moving from South Carolina to California with limited places to stay. First the movers showed up hours late and no one from Shetler was taking my calls to update me. Then during the delivery spread, I received zero communications on the exact update and dates for deliveries. I travel for work and needed to plan in advanced. I left 5 voicemails and 3 emails to my logistics coordinator with no response. The day before the last day of my delivery spread 11/29, I received an email asking for payment before delivery tomorrow. The problem was I was in Ohio, not california and due to no notice, had no way to get out there and receive goods. I explained the situation and my agent told me she would have to have me pay for service. She was very apologetic (Renee) and informed me the logistics coordinator Amber ******* which my agreement guaranteed had quit, and Renee was on vacation. She gave me her supervisors email and phone number Benita ******* Well after that they then had me pay over $2000 for storage and held my goods ransom until I paid. Even after I paid, the good were delayed 4 days in delivery over a weeked. I left 35 voicemails to local management and got no support. Benita emailed offering a $350 credit and then never followed up. I spoke with Renee several times and she agreed the entire situation was a mess and said her company was too blame. However, I am the one paying for it.

      Our experience with ******** Moving / Atlas Van Lines ************* IN - **** ****** FL in 9/21
Details are available on request, but bullet points you will want to review before using this company. I am happy to provide pictures, correspondence, timeline and all supporting documentation showing the reasons you SHOULD NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.
      1. Over $8,000 is damages and missing items despite purchasing full coverage replacement insurance - our offer to make it right is $425.00
      2. Told our belongings would be shipped together. In fact, they were combined into two shipments with other clients, arriving at different times without documentation other than a faded form I could take a picture of.
      3. Individually placed bar codes on each item, however, THEY DO NOT SCAN THEM . There is no way to trace missing material Among missing items: 2 office chairs at over $2,000 value, 2 sets of bed rails, 1 ladder ($350)
      4. This company hired 3rd party "unloaders" whose carelessness resulted in over $2,000 of damage directly as a result of how they placed the furnishings in the storage unit. (2 year old King Mattress destroyed by (1) Not protectively wrapping and (2) by placing a pressure washer on it's side leaking oil over the mattress). What level of education does it take to assume mechanical items should be placed UPRIGHT ???
      5. Destroyed a table (with a $4,000 replacement value) by removing stability bar but not the legs. Despite a replacement policy they offered $450 to "repair"
      6. Claim originally placed in mid September. Received "offer" on 12.31 after numerous phone calls & emails all unreturned. In the meantime, we were forced to continue to pay $250+ in storage fees while they took their, siting if we moved the items - the claim would be void.

Terrible Service. They showed up hours late to pack our things up and broke items before leaving the first location. They then proceeded to damage about 60 % of everything we own in some way and now I've filed a claim with not notice from them except "we are reviewing your claim". We are left wondering why we even owed them money for moving us as they didn't even bother to move our items in a professional and consistent manor. I had expected a small number of damaged items but this was excessive. As a military veteran I'm very disappointed they are allowed to operate as a business this way and just want whatever money back I can get so we can fix our things on our own.
