I took my 14 week old puppy to get groomed at Spoiled Rotten Pet Grooming on Monday, February 19th, 2024. Prior to his appointment he had been to the vet for his final round of puppy shots and exam (February 12, 2024), everything came out perfect. After picking him up from the groomer I noticed a discharge coming from his ear and seeing him in visible discomfort. Later that evening I could see the discharge running down his face on both sides from both ears, he was now yelping in pain. The next day I took him to the vet to get a swab test done and the vet told me that there was in fact an infection and that the infection was caused by unsterilized tools used at the groomer. I reached out to Spoiled Rotten Pet Grooming to get a refund for the service since I was now paying more in vet bills than I did for the groom itself. The assumed owner immediately told me no, said that she did not cause this, said he had an infection before I brought him in and the proceeded to hang up on me. They did not tell me he had an "infection" when she was completing the service, if that was the case she should have immediately stopped the service and given me a call. Not only is that against infection protocols, it is simply unprofessional and shouldn't happen to another ones loved animal. I simply only would like my refund back, I'm not asking for the vet bills to be paid, just to be compensated for not only my puppy's sake but so I can forewarn future clients as well.
