      March 31, 2022 I hired this company to remodeled the master bathroom, ****** and **** bathroom and a shower bathroom. The contract pleasant view painting sent was for 22k, with 5k installment at each 22% of work completed. I paid 10k, which included plumbing, concrete, dry wall, mortar, paint, electrical wiring. I paid 5k on start, then when we laid a 2nd 5k (which he asked for in cash, however we paid on cashier check) which would have meant 44% or the work was done. We evaluated his work, he did not use water sealant behind the showers or tile, he did not lay tile down properly, he left two faucets leaking. He left sharp edged in the shlutter. I asked him to fix these issues before I paid him. more. He refused. We asked him to leave our home because he become hostile. He took a hammer to the master bathroom and doer bathroom. He took material we laid for. He called myself and husband name and wished we were killed. The cops escorted he and his team out. ****** and the other guy have a felonies. (Recent felonies) police are involved. However the company is not licensed, does not have insurance, and is taking money and not performing the work.

        The homeowners went on vacation just before we started the job and failed to give us our requested deposit.

      We went ahead and started the job and put our own money in for building materials and worked for a solid week without initial deposit.  It was like pulling teeth trying to get our initial deposit and they also failed to sign the contract before they left for vacation.   They had to send money via pay pal because they said they dont write checks and they wasnt willing to pay the $150 fee the PayPal requires on every $5000 payment.

      I communicated with the homeowners and we came to a verbal agreement to add a change of work order that they wanted to add an additional $7000 in work that wasnt on the original contract. We agreed and went ahead and payed for more materials and completed all of the extras.

      Our expert ********* ********************************* from Kokomo waterproofed the master bathroom shower floor, shower walls and master bathroom floor exactly to specks.

      The only other areas we tiled where the **** and **** backsplash and the upstairs guest bathroom backsplash and the floor.

      We used Dense shield tile backer board on the guest bathroom floor, the master walk in shower walls, the master shower floor and the master bathroom wall perimeter where tile was to be installed, as well as used the appropriate mesh tape for all of the seems on the Dense shield along with water proofing everything completely with 2 coats of Aqua Defense roll on water proofing membrane.  
      The only thing we did not use Dense shield tile backer board on was both back splashes above the sinks in the **** and **** bathroom and guest bathroom. We rolled on 2 coats of Aqua Defense water proofing membrane where the backsplash tile was to be installed above the sinks in both small bathrooms.

         The tile only runs vertical on a tile backsplash above a sink and it is not necessary to use tile backer board behind a backsplash sink actually. Anybody can do their research and know this is true.

      The walk in shower in the guest bathroom was installed with a custom 2 layer Portland Concrete and ***** sand mixture with a water proof membrane in between the layers and going up all of the shower walls 6 inches and folded in the corners correctly as well as sealed with a waterproof membrane glue.

      Corrugated steel sheathing was also used around the entire perimeter of the custom walk in shower.

      The custom shower pan had a 3rd layer skim coated and after we allowed the allotted curing time for the custom shower pan to cure properly we water proofed it with 2 coats of roll on Aqua Defense water proofing membrane .

      ********************************* installed all of the plumbing and he left one water line shut off with the shut off valve and we did indicate to the homeowners not to use the sink until we arrived to repair it the next business day.

      We went well above and beyond for these people like we do for all of our clients and they never once asked us to repair or address anything whatsoever before calling the police on us and telling us they where going to terminate our contract.

      Come to find out ********************************* from Kokomo that was our employee went behind our back and talked bad about us to the homeowners and they agreed to contract the rest of the project to him at a cheaper cost.

      These people are complete liars and we had to jump through hoops after we received the 2nd $5000 draw after we had already put in over $20,000 in very detailed work, not even including payroll which was paid in full every single Friday that we had worked for 4 weeks.

      When we mentioned to the homeowners that we had the original contract to sign along with the agreed upon $7000 in Change orders, they immediately told us they where terminating our contract and kicked us off the job.

      Weve never felt so disrespected by people we work for!

      this really makes us not want to offer our services for other people moving forward but we know every client we work for will not be bad people and try their best to make us look bad, they also said we damage some things and they also gave us a bad review along with two of their friends.

       

      They are trying to lie on us and our company and trying to destroy our company and were not gonna sit back and watch them destroy our company when we work so hard to get it where it is today.

      We work hard for money and we will continue to do great work with great reviews.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. 

      The business owner did not have a business account set up when they started the job. He asked that we pay via PayPal. We did. His bank rejected it twice due to not being set up properly. We finally got him 5k as stated in the original complaint. And an additional 5k when he requested it. 

      Business owner did not do any of what he listed. We paid 10k. The contract was on the percentage of completion which is described in the attached contract. He stole tools from the house. He ended up posting the tools he stole in a dumpster. 

      He has harassed us many times stating for us to die. This company to date has not paid the employees that were working on the house with him. He also stole their tools. 

      ****** the owner has tried to defame my husband and myself on social media. We simply have requested a return or refund of our tools. And an apology. Neither have yet to be done. 
      This company is fraudulent and thieves.

       We would like to apologize to ******************* and her husband **** for saying things out of anger.

      They keep bashing us saying we stoled tools from the job.

      We where told to pack our tools and leave the job immediately and they also called the police on us and the officers told us to hurry and get all of our tools packed up immediately.

      We did pack all of our tools in the truck and we did take 2 drills of ******* Hendersons because he was not at the job site when this occurred.

      We had lots of tools there in the job site and like any contractor would do is to pack up all of their tools and the employees tools that was on site because the employee was not there.

      We contacted ********************************* to let him know what had happened and that we had his drills and he could meet us and pick them up at any given time.

      Our laborer accidentally packed up 2 shop vacs which he thought was ours or ******* Hendersons, apparently they was the homeowners, which ********************************* eventually mentioned to us they where the Lees.

      We would be more than happy to return ******* Hendersons drills and the homeowners 2 shop vacs with no problems if they had someone that is ok with meeting us to get the tools.

      We are not thiefs , we have well over $15,000 in tools of our own.

      We have never stolen anything from anybody and we have tried to communicate with ********************************* to return these items and every single time we communicated with him and offered to return the tools, he has done nothing but threaten us and never once made the decision to come pick up the tools.

      We where never once given a chance to address any problems the homeowners had with anything on the job site which every single client we have ever worked for in our lives have given us a chance to address something they wasnt happy with.

      They had mentioned they had an issue with tile backsplash not having tile backer board behind it in the 2 small bathrooms, which it doesnt have to have tile backer board behind a backsplash above a sink actually.

      They keep saying we never payed our employees the entire time which either is a lie from them or maybe ********************************* keeps telling ****** and **** that we never payed him to make us look bad which is a complete lie as well.

      We worked on the job for over 3 weeks and after all of the building materials we purchased and we still have all of the receipts

      and after we payed all employees in full every single Friday at the job site.

      The following Monday ****** called us and said the tile on the backsplash was installed wrong and **** would be calling us, he immediately called us and never asked us to address any problems and immediately told us he was terminating our contract and told us to pack our tools.

      That was the Monday when me the owner was down to $100 to our name after we had everybody paid up the previous Friday.

      The homeowners terminated our contract after we had mentioned we needed them to sign the original contract and also sign the change of work order on the verbal agreement and price for all of the extras they wanted done that we already had completed.

      We have all of the text, pictures and emails from the job to prove anything we need to.

      We are not going to waste our time posting attachments on here.

      We are very tired of getting bashed by these people and we are not going to keep going back and fourth on the BBB or on social media. 
      If they want a fight then we can take it to court and we will come out with a victory.

      We have the proof.

      If we are liars then we wonder why every single review we have so far to date are all good reviews besides the Lees??

      Thats because we are not liars and we know that ********************************* that used to be our employee went behind our back and talked bad about us to the homeowners and contracted the rest of the job from the homeowners at a cheaper rate.

      We apologize for things said and we forgive and forget.

      We would love to return the drills and $100 in shop vacs and we would love if we all including the homeowners can move past this and we can all sleep better at night.

      We would also highly appreciate if they could take their poor reviews off of our business, all 3 of them including the homeowners, their friend and ******* Hendersons.

      That Monday they threw us off the job we only had $100 to our name and after calculating payroll every Friday and building materials we had purchased we ended ** in profit of only about $1000 not including gas and wear and tear on our vehicle.

      We initially contacted the job at a very cheap rate to begin with to keep us busy through the end of the winter and they absolutely without a doubt received well over $20,000 worth of work and they only came out of pocket $10,000.

      So with that being said you would think its time to forgive, forget we ever met and move on with all of our lives.

      We did!

      They can have someone meet us to pick up ******* Hendersons drills and their 2 shop vacs worth $100 and we can all live happily ever after.

      We apologize once again for things said, honestly its hard to smile when we where treated this way and being stressed thinking about how we where going to pay our bills or take care of our children after making $1000 in over 3 weeks and come that Monday if being thrown off the job with $100 to our names.

      We did prevail and we will continue to do so because thats how your run and handle business.

      Btw, we done exactly everything we said.

      We dont have to lie and we work hard and honestly for our money and we definitely do not have to steal work from anybody to get it.

      They have a friend that wants to come meet us to get their tools we would be more than happy and that person can call us anytime at **************
