On 3/8/2021, Indy Cabinetry began a kitchen project for me. They installed the cabinets and countertops, and have been impossible to schedule with for completion of the job. Fast forward to 9/26/21, and they still have not completed this job. They have been contacted several times. They have no called-no showed. They have been disrespectful to us and our personal time. They sent someone out to "complete" the job and were at my house until 1030 pm on 9/1/21. We were told to caulk and fill the holes and gaps. The trim is broken and the cabinets are uneven. I have paid them $10,045 for this service so far. I could not be more disgusted with this company and the way their employees have treated us throughout this project. They should be embarrassed by the condition that they left our kitchen after collecting more than $10,000 from us, which is not all of the original quote. I want this resolved and I do not believe I should be subject to paying more money on an 8 month kitchen remodel.

      Business response

      09/30/2021

Zak and Geena came in on March 5th @ 1:30 pm for a design consultation for remodeling his kitchen with new cabinets and countertops. We provided those design options via email on March 8th contingent on an onsite review and template.  That template and onsite review was rescheduled by the customer as he had not yet completed the demo and was not ready for us.  We were contacted to move forward on the template and onsite review in late April and it was completed on April 30th.

The cabinet order was paid for, ordered, assembled and delivered to the home within 9 business days of the template. We installed over 90% of the cabinets and the countertops in less than 10 working days.  The only delays were due to Zak wanting to complete certain aspects of the remodel himself to save money.  We don’t have a problem with that and try to be flexible with our clientele.  The drywall completion did not happen for more than 2 months. Whether the work is completed by a homeowner or a contractor it is imperative that a schedule is maintained.  We are consistently booked out 2 months or more with new installations therefore when delays on a job come up we are forced to move forward with projects that are ready and fit in delayed projects as we can.  We kept in regular professional communication with Zak via telephone and text regarding scheduling options.  Zak has an unconventional work schedule and cannot give us a date when requested for work to be completed so we are forced to wait on him to give us that time and date.  Due to scheduling conflicts when Zak was available we sent out one of our subcontractors to completed the final pieces of the project.  I was later informed he did not show up on a scheduled date but returned within 48 hours on an agreed upon time and stayed until the work was complete. The time slot they agreed to was a 6:30 pm arrival time with approximately 3 hours of work. This is not our norm but again with Zak’s work schedule we were flexible to try and get the work complete.  I was not given any photos until now and we are appalled at the work that was completed by the sub.  This is not our normal practice and this sub no longer installs for us. I have been in communication with Zak for more than two weeks to repair these items correctly and have requested a 3 hour window of time, 72 hours in advance to do so. Again due to his unconventional work schedule we are still waiting.

Any complaint due to the cabinets not being level our installed incorrectly is typically a final walk thru process of leveling and adjusting the doors and that has not been completed yet.

The actual total time for this project from the start of installation is 4 months, 3 weeks and 8 days.

Cabinet order was $8229.68 with a balance due of $3284.68

Quartz Countertops $5100.00 ordered through our sister company Global Services with no balance due.
