My complaint pertains to the Estate in North Indy: Unique Vintage Items, Antiques.Ending date of March 5, 2024 12:00 PM EST. I purchase lot 69 along with a few other items.I made an appointment online for a time to pick up my items, after I paid the invoice.When I arrived,I had to wait for an extended time.The person in charge of the crew finally came out and said my item was no longer there. I was told that she would locate it and someone would bring it to me. Since then, Ive been told conflicting stories on how my item disappeared and to this date have not received it. After calling a couple times, a person who identified herself as an owner said she had it in her possession and would bring it to me.When she didnt fulfill her verbal intent, I called several times and emailed.The man who answers Aethers phone has related messages to the owners to no avail. He did finally gets a time frame from the owner of Saturday or Sunday(March 16-March 17) promising an employee would drop it off at my home.It was not delivered. I emailed the other owner of AETHERs and he has not responded.Business response

On July 25, 2022, I purchase a lot of threat from this Aether Auction: High ********** Machines, Fabric and More in ****. One of the lots of thread I purchase was lot 96. It pictured multiple totes/boxes of thread. I only received one box of thread. I didn't realized it until I got home. I immediately texted ******* and she told me she would get it and bring it with her to the next sale pick up. She did not bring the thread. I have multiple, multiple attempts to pick up my items and she has put me off every time telling me she would call me back with at date and time to pick them up. We had multiple phone conversations and texts. She will no longer respond to me. In my last message I requested a refund or the product and she has not responded in any way! I would like a refund for the full purchase price plus the buyers premium. I can download phone records as well showing the dates and length of the callsBusiness response

7/28/22 Pd $352.80 timely for items won Inv#******* @ Aether online auction of estate **** Audubon Rd, ******. IN. Pick up date not clear; several calls to Aether office unanswered where to pick up my paid for items. Met **** (staff ******* ********* at subsequent auction pick up and inquired about when I could get my items from Audubon Rd auction. Was told $25 fee to take items from estate home to Aether warehouse for pickup. Called **** several times & left voice messages (as instructed by him ********* at other location pick up after auction in person); finally got day/time of 8/2/22 with trailer for pick up of Audubon Rd items. Upon arrival ***** (warehouse/staff) began searching for my items. She soon advised they were all mostly 'trashed' (common practice according to her) because huge new estate came into warehouse. I was overwhelmed and cried in disbelief; she said owner *** in office next room was unsympathetic. Continued to next stop to pick up items won at different location; met ***************************, wife/owner with ***. ***** had called her about my trashed items & assume advised her how upset I was; *********** talked in private later; she repeatedly said don't worry she'd 'make it right' when she got into the office. 8/3 I came to Fishers estate to pick up items won (being a repeat customer at that time); again had long talk with ******* who promised to make it right, that she ran the company not ***; gave me her personal cell number. Several vm (over 15 calls), email, over 8 detailed texts (which she said she would answer) no real responses, from 8/4-10/10/22. I spoke to her once and again was promised a refund. I have copies of all texts, emails, and voice mails. Further, Aether's items are not fully disclosed, or boxes opened when photographed, basic listing doesn't note materials made of, exact condition, quantity, pertinent details when buying with no buyer's preview. I will never ever buy from anything which Aether has any relationship.Business response

It looks like there was a breakdown in communication here with so many people involved. Had I known directly about this issue, I would have handled it immediately. We apologize for your poor experience with our auction. I am initiating a refund today for the full amount. It can take **** days for the refund to appear back. I once did business with Aether Auctions. I do not to receive any emails from this company but there is no way to unsubscribe from emails. I have been trying to stop emails from coming from emailing the company to calling them with no relief. Each time I complain to be removed I get more emails. It is unlawful not to provide a way to unsubscribe from emails and this company in my opinion is in violation.I do not want to do business with this company. And no I cannot simply have there emails go to spam because I have tried and they are not trapped.Business response

I'm sorry that you are still having this issue. We have already informed you that you are not on OUR email list. See attached screenshot showing you are not on Aethers email list. Our auctions are only advertised on the Invaluable.com platform. We have ZERO CONTROl over those emails. The emails may be about our auctions, but we ARE NOT sending the email. The emails are being sent entirely by Invaluable. See attached screenshot that shows our inquiry to Invaluable concerning your removal from their email list. We have asked Invaluable at least twice by email to remove you from the list. See attached screenshot that states Invaluable has removed you from their list. We have also called Invaluable directly to have you removed from the list. Every time, they tell us you have been removed from the list. Invaluable ************* can be reached at ************. Remember, our auctions are advertised on Invaluable.com, but we have NO CONTOL or ACCESS to their email list.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this response/resolution is satisfactory to me.
My only concern is that Aether Auctions Relies on Invaluable to control email. This is disturbing that there is no opt out of email or unsubscribe option available and that Aether Auctions takes no responsibility for the frequency (sometimes up to three a day) or the content. Yes Aether Auctions claims to have stopped the emails by calling Invaluable and they claim to have stopped. Its the lack of responsibility on Aether to not control or accept the actions of those they subcontract.

I purchased an item on Aether auctions and didn’t receive all that was in the picture. There were essential items missing in shipping from what was pictured in the auction lot. August 20, 2021 I paid invoice Receipt #1046-3581. The auction was on AuctionZip. Liquidating Contents of 7000sq/f Home in Zionsville, IN Item was lot 99. I have contacted Aether auctions 3 different time via phone Conversation. I have been told that they would look into the issue each time I call but they have yet to come up with a solution. All I want is for them to make it right but they really don’t seem to care about my issue. The items circled in red in the one picture is what was missing. The other picture is what was received. He other two pictures are the cost of the items plus tax and shipping. That is if you could actually order the parts. These parts are not in stock at this time. I feel at least $75 refund is due to me for the trouble caused for these missing items.Business response

We have spoken with Clifton on October 7, 2021, and this issue has been resolved, and Clifton will be receiving a refund. We had some staffing changes in the shipping department, and Clifton got lost in the mix unfortunately.
