Summit at Ridgewood was contacted for a leak and for the **** not working. They did not send maintenance to check before sending Mr. ******* After I reviewed the payment for rent I noticed that we were being charged $250 for Mr. ******* I informed the property manager that the Mr. ****** employee never stepped foot in our residence. I contacted Mr. ****** and told the business about the situation. Then I went to summit at Ridgewood office and asked the property manager for the paperwork so I can see who to **** The property manager was attempting to withhold such evidence which put summit of Ridgewood In concert with Mr. ******* Then the senior property manager retaliated by sending a letter in the mail stated that if they receive any more complaints about this issue we will receive a 30 day notice that they will be terminating our lease.Customer response

On 4/22 resident called into the office to place a work order. Resident stated their tub was leaking from the upstairs bathroom into the downstairs half bath. Due to the nature of it being a water leak a licensed plumber was contacted. The plumbing company Mr. ****** did arrive the next day. Once they arrived at the apartment, they were stopped by the adult *************************. It has been then determined that there is a minor child in the home that was not closing the shower curtain and allowing the water to flood the floor, leading to the leak through the ceiling. There was a minor fee charged for the dispatch of ******. That fee was passed along to the resident, due to it being an at fault incident. On 4/29 we received the invoice and charged resident. May 3rd resident came into the office for rental account balance, resident did question the balance and the fee was explained. Resident left office and I was contacted by *** ****** about the resident calling and yelling at the scheduler. Resident then returned to the office asking for the specific tech name. At the time I did refused to disclose their name. The resident was aware what company was contracted for the work since they had already called. ************************* became very loud and combative in the office and was asked by several employees to leave. Resident was later issued a lease violation for the conduct that took place in the office. Due to the harassing and continued calls to the plumber, they later reversed the charge. The ****** fee was removed from the residents account on 5/3. I have attached the work order placed by the resident, the invoice and the account for the resident showing when charges were placed and removed.Customer response

I'm unsure what the resident is rejecting. Any termination of lease will be if an additional incident of harassment and and rudeness to the office staff.Customer response

We have a mice problem and weve told them about it. They had a guy come out a set a bait trap that didnt work and we had to get our own traps and caught the mouse ourselves just for there to be another mouse. Its a reoccurring problem that weve told them about in the past as well. There are also holes in the wall where the heater is in the bathroom and back where the dryer is that they know about and stuff havent sent anyone out to fix it. It doesnt seem like they want to get help out third party companies despite obviously being under staffed. Half the time we call the office they dont answer but there are always workers in there.Business response

On 12-10-2023, the resident called into the office to place a work order for pest control. On 12-13-2023, the pest control company was in the apartment and baited for mice with a follow up scheduled. Follow up was on 12-27-2023, when the resident informed pest control there was no longer an issue and the work order was closed. There is currently an open work order for the drywall repair, we did have a vendor on site and they were unable to enter due to the pet not caged and no one home. The work order is still open and other attempts to enter will be made by staff.Initial Complaint

I have had issues with maintenance taking long periods of time to to fix issues. I would have to pry and pry to get things fixed, call back multiple times to even get answers, and I've also had issues with ******************** being rude on the phone, like laughing and giggling during conversations and also had one of them call me back in response to a request and yell at me at 630am and generally was just very rude and aggressive.The communication has also been poor, in general and this was the last strike for me,They have raised the rent the last two August's, yet the windows and my front door is poorly insulated, the plumbing is far from great and there's has more than one time that I've had to go through too much to get some answers and things resolved.Customer response

I have reported this problem multiple times. I've had management lie to me multiple times in multiple phone calls saying someone would be out here to fix the problem and they have not. I have had the PROPERTY MANAGER whos' name is *********************, lie to me back in October, the first week of October to be exact and say that someone be out here after getting some parts for it but still there has been NO communication or updates about the situation, Everyone has been very dishonest and unprofessional and I am fed up, I work VERY hard every month to pay EXPENSIVE rent for an uninsulated apartment that stays freezing cold every winter. has horrible plumbing, and very LAZY staff who have gone months without having to do their jobs. I've been reporting this since early October and December is in 2 days.. so I have been lied to and ignored by staff for 3 months straight!

During staffing issues, we were only able to respond to emergency work orders. The resident had in a work order to remove closet doors, and repair two broken kitchen drawers. At the time of this response all work orders have been completed. The closet doors were removed at resident's request. The kitchen drawers were replaced. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and I apologize for the delayed response due to staffing.
