We have reviewed your dispute and claim of identity theft with the documents you provided. The one thing that is required by a consumer is to provide a copy of the police report filed which does not appear to be attached.

We have attached a copy of the documents from the original creditor and you will notice the signature on the contract does match your signature on your drivers license.

At this time we are not refusing your dispute, but we do need you to submit the police report. We received your disputes from the credit bureaus 04/05/21, 07/08/2021, and 03/23/2022 and updated your account as disputed at those times. However, the original creditors information and signature match so please provide any additional documentation you feel will help support your claim and we will look into it further.

My son who was 19 at the time, received oral surgery from *************** Oral surgery and implant center in May 2021 the balance for this procedure was a little over $3000,00. I paid $1500.00 out of pocket on the day of his surgery so that left a balance of $1520.00. I carried dental insurance on my son through my employer and this was filed for immediately after knowing what the balance was, I had to file the claim since this was not a service the dentist office provided for some reason. I contacted the dental office after some time went by and asked them if they received a check from my insurance company and what the remaining balance was and they said no so I called up my insurance company again and they said they had sent the check. This went on for a couple of months until my son received a notice September 24, 2021 that he had been sent to collections with Total Recovery services for the remaining balance +interest so a total of $1569.64. My son notified me of this and I called the insurance company again and they said they had sent the check so I told them no-one had received this check. I asked them where they sent it and they said they sent it to me, I told them I never received it and then it was established that they sent it to the wrong address. On 10-1-2021 I paid $1000,00 to TRS from the insurance payout and set up a payment arrangement to finish off the balance by paying $100 monthly. I am 2 payments away from paying this off but TRS sent this to my son's credit report which he has been trying to establish and this negative comment brought his score down 100 points. I am still under a contract with TRS to pay the balance and am now aware that reporting is up to the discretion of the collection agency which I believe they did because of my son's age and just to be complete jerks. What kind of business operates this way when I have not been late on any payment and am making a good faith effort to rectify the balance? ACCT # *******.

I am not disputing the claim I am disputing the negative comment on my son's credit report after I made credit arrangements regarding this debt and am 2 payments away from paying this off which every payment was on time and the creditor reported this to the credit bureau to drop my son's credit score when he is just establishing credit which I believe is a vindictive action on their part to s**** over my 19 year olds credit score when this was up to the discretion of the debt holder. I entered into a contract with the creditor and paid off over 3/4 of the balance in one payment, this is a malicious act on their part and I believe it is an age discrementory act based off of the conversations he had with this establishment. The resolution I would like to have would be this deleted from his credit report when paid in full.

Said account for the consumer was listed with our office as past due for collections on 09/23/21. The first successful verbal contact with the consumer was 09/29/21 in which the consumer was advised of the credit bureau eligibility date of 10/24/21. At that time the consumer gave authorization to speak with his mother to which we spoke with on 10/01/21. We give everyone a 30 day grace ****** to pay the accounts in full to avoid the account being placed with the consumers credit.

As a business due to the regulatory changes in the debt collection industry that took effect 11/30/21 we chose to delay placing new accounts (accounts not yet listed with the credit bureaus) until after 12/01/21 to accommodate the changes. This particular account due to the listing date with our office the consumer actually received additional time than we give and are required to give.

I am sorry the complainant feels this is unreasonable and feels it was done with ill intent. The fact is the account went unpaid and was past due and is still not paid in full. The consumer was advised of the credit bureau eligibility and full payment was not made prior to that eligibility. The consumer in fact received more time to pay than we normally give nor are we required to give. The only way we updated the credit bureau as "Delete" are for Identity theft, fraud, or inaccurate information provided to us by our client. We update all other accounts with the factual history.

The complainant contacted our office most recently on 01/03/22 upset as per her complaint. After a lengthy conversation with two representatives explaining the scenario the complainant was upset because we would not delete the item from the credit bureau and without getting what was wanted the call ended with the complainant hanging up on the representative.

As per the complainants conversation with our office she was advised once the account is paid we will update the credit bureaus that the account is paid in full and closed. Again we update all other accounts with the factual history since a credit report is a credit history.
