My husband purchased a ******* for Maid Perfect for $270 plus a $55 trip charge (due to the distance from ***************) to surprise me and help with how hectic back to school can be. The Maid Perfect ******* was advertised as a deep clean, 3 personnel able to clean **** sq. ft. an hr for 3 hours. Our house is ***** sq ft. Our upstairs and downstairs were not touched. Three rooms in the main floor were not touched. Maybe approx 800 ft were clean. Per the check off sheet the Maid Perfect staff left several items that were checked off were not done to include dusting, light fixtures, microwave, window *****, & base boards. The floors looked like they had been spot swept and mopped, but definitely still had remaining spots under the furniture. We made contact with ******* from Maid Perfect and provided pictures. She disputed the base boards as the crews pictures differed from ours. We then brought up the other untouched areas of our home. She responded by offering to touch up the areas that the crew claimed they did. My husband left her 2 voice mails to discuss this, and she has not called back. We were not interested in a touch up job, but the deep clean that was advertised for ***** sq ft. In addition, although we contacted Maid Perfect the same day to voice our concerns, they preceded to cash the $45 tip that was NOT earned. A total of $370 for absolutely half a** work. We got taken. This gentleman purchased a groupon for $270, not $370. We have before and after pictures of home, and it was a noticeable difference in the areas we could get to. When he called he said he needed "rescued and saved as the home has not been cleaned for a while with the kids". When we got there we had to get a hold of him to get in because the dogs were acting unfriendly, he said to get them treats and put them in the garage, this did work. We did our initial walk through and there was stuff everywhere, clutter all around, things spilt all over the walls. He left the girls a priority list that he wanted us to work at, his main priority was for the walls to be washed, the girls sent us the list and I did notify him that we do not wash walls as it is a liability and our insurance will not allow us to do it. After the clean we did not hear from him until the next day which then he expressed he was not happy with it, when we asked for pictures of the things missed he sent us pictures of the walls with the spills on them, a window sill, and a light fixture. We communicated with him our apologies on the light fixture and 1 window sill that we missed and did offer to come back out and fix those for him, as we have all of this on emails. He never responded back and now has left bad reviews on everything he could, but not giving us the chance to fix those 2 items for him. The walls we did explain again that we could not wash as a liability of the paint being removed. This customer wont respond or give us a chance to fix those items, will not respond back to our email, and is being very negative to our company. We are more then happy to reclean those 2 things for him and make it right, but he is not giving us the opportunity.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: Maid Perfect is not accountable for the subpar cleaning job and are being completely dishonest in their response. Their treatment of customers is shameful. Lets go line by line:
1. We paid $270 plus a $55 trip charge, and a $45 tip they did not earn but took.
2. There was NOT a noticeable difference for 3 people cleaning for 3 hours.
3. My husband did not say we needed rescued because the house hadnt been cleaned for a while. This is a complete lie.
4. My husband was contacted about the dogs. I could graciously give the girls 30 minutes down time for that.
5. Any clutter was cleared per Maid Perfects guidance. Spill all over the walls there were 2 pictures sent to them as examples of areas not cleaned. This is is simply disparaging to the customer and poor treatment. And, again a way to NOT be accountable for the job done.
6. My husband either left a message or talked to Maid Perfect the same day. It didnt take long to see the list of items that we checked off by the girls that were NOT completed.
7. We sent a list of the walls, window sill, light fixtures, microwave, areas unswept, & not mopped. We have 3 floors and only the first floor was touched and 3 rooms of that floor were not touched. On Maid Perfects GroupOn it stated 3 people that can clean **** sq ft an hour. This did NOT happen.
8. Maid Perfect initially stated they would touch up the areas they stated they cleaned but didnt, but did not respond back after several attempts at calling and emailing - hence the bad reviews. My husband was very polite and gave them the opportunity to correct this job, they simply would rather belittle their customers than do the right thing by them. I am embarrassed for this company that touts been in business for 30 years. How about they have been swindling and mistreating their customers for 30 years?

Tell you in response to her email back to the BBB
1. They paid to Groupon $270.00, yes there was a trip of $55.00 paid to us as the Groupon states anything outside *************** has a trip charge. We did not collect the tip if they tipped that goes to the cleaners, so that is not part of our pricing.
2.There was a difference, as you see in the email from them it states "the ladies did a great job on main floor" he went into telling what areas, so if it was not noticeable we would not have gotten a great job and being told what areas he seen done.
3. Her husband did say that, through call at the beginning and also in the proof of the note they left at the house said "thanks for the rescue". I have also attached the note.
4. Yes the dogs were an issue as they shed terribly and because they would not go int o the garage the hair constantly kept going all over.
5.There were toys everywhere, kid clothes all over the floors,, we told our teams to push to sides or there was also a blue tote upstairs on the floor that was empty i told them to pick up and put the toys in there.
6.We did not speak the same day, he had left a message. We called him right away Thursday (the next day) morning he said that he would email, we emailed a couple times then never got response back from him, as the attached emails show. We told him we would come out to fix it then but did not hear anything back. Friday we tried calling in the morning to see if we could go out but did again not hear back from him. We then left for the day and are closed on the weekend. Our hours are posted everywhere online, and on our phone message.
7. I have attached the list they gave also the text to them stating that w can only ******* a wall, and we also explained in email we can not wash walls as a liability. The other items we did say we would come back and clean. The Groupon states "each home is unique and the teams are trained to cover the most area as possible-times will vary for each task by the degree of build up in each home"
8. We have the emails as I attached saying we would fix the areas, we tried calling multiple times, for proof of the calls I can pull the call records if you need. We have our hours posted everywhere online, and on our phone message when they say we never responded we were closed for the weekend. They did not give us any chance to respond or come out s they already slandered our name on every site they possibly could all weekend long. I walked in to all the negative reviews before we could even get the chance to make it right. I did respond on ****** review and told them I wanted and would still take care of the areas and get the items missed, even after no response from them or chance to correct the clean.I am baffled as to them stating we are swindling, mistreating, they are embarrassed for us, and we belittled them as proof in the emails show we were nothing but courteous and professional and tried to take care of the clean and make them happy. This whole situation makes me feel like they are a consumer that we could ever make happy as there is so much negativity coming from their side. These words are nothing but slander on our name, words that have not been used before, even with over 30 years being in business' we have not had someone state such accusations. It is very disheartening and hurtful to read what this consumer has to say especially with not giving us the chance to take care of the clean, responding to us, instead takes the time to belittle our company while they say we did not get in touch with them when we were in fact closed.

I am rejecting this response because: the lack of accountability and dishonesty of Maid Perfect.
1. Again, Maid Perfect cashed a $45 tip knowing we were unhappy with the job performed.
2. Specifically, the kitchen cabinets and the main bathroom looked great, the original complaint goes on to state all the areas missed. This comment by Maid Perfect is misleading and not completely honest. Again, the areas that were checked off by the ladies but not completed is another concern about the integrity of this company. Looks like dishonesty. Also to mention again, the 2nd and 3rd were untouched along with 3 rooms on the main floor.
3. Yes my husband wrote on a note left prior to the cleaning thanks for the rescue. Maid Perfect stated it was verbalized and insinuated our house was dirty beyond the scope of 3 people in 3 hrs. If the girls are 85 with a body full of arthritis - maybe the job performed was adequate but still doubtful.
4. Yes, dogs shed. Again, a demonstration of the unprofessionalism of Maid Perfect - unaccountable, unprofessional, and insulting the customer to justify their poor job.5. Toys were in the playroom ??, but this is one of the rooms that was completely untouched.
6. My husband called several times and left messages. Maid Perfect has not called us back, and they continue to choose not to contact us. Again, hence the bad reviews.
7. Maid Perfect was mostly professional via email or over the phone, but does have a history of attacking customers publicly who voice complaints. An apology, coming back out, or reimbursement could have prevented all of this, but Maid Perfect has chosen to take things personal by the tone of their responses which if my husband had looked at their complaint history would not of considered them. My responses are hardly slander when their complaint and response history are there for anyone to see. I do not believe that Maid Perfect will make any attempt at correcting this issue, and I hope my complaint can prevent at least one person from having to deal with with the unprofessionalism of this company.
