My wife and I purchased this generator in September of 2022. We purchased the 10kw silent dual fuel generator from CUB on ***** The purchase amount was roughly 3800-4000 dollars. It was brand new and the seller profile was CUB. So safe to say I purchased this directly from CUB via their **** seller profile. We purchased this generator in the hopes that it would be a great option for our food truck. We really didnt want to go with a typical generator. We wanted something that was going to be long lasting, quiet, and easily serviceable. When we read that CUB put out a consistent 10kw and was meant for long run times and was quiet it seemed like a great fit. Top that with their claim of having **** service centers nationwide, we were sold. Things break over time, thats a given, but getting it fixed was a huge priority for us when it should ever happen. Well, 300 hours later, and this generator has become a nightmare. 1. ********* leak via the low oil alert sensor 2. Cooling fan on the right side completely shattered.3. Random shutdowns 4. Generator will keep running but will stop generating power, specifically on the 220v 30Amp plug.Unfortunately NONE of the issues are being resolved by CUB. We have received zero referrals to one of the **** service centers. The manufacturers of the generator (Im sure a Chinese manufacturer of some sort) has refused to respond or understand the issue according to CUB. And the worst part is, we cant even find parts to fix it ourselves even if we wanted to. Literally no one has replacement parts for CUB generators, specifically this one. Ive called service centers all over TN. No ones even heard of them. Needless to say were beside ourselves. We feel stupid and we feel duped. We dont know if we will ever get this issue fixed or receive any sort of resolution. This has set our little business back so far and CUB is in zero hurry to help.
