We purchased a 2023 *** ******** from Fort Wayne KIA Thanksgiving weekend of 2023 and eveything went pretty well except for the clean-up/prep which was pretty bad -- the salesman even conceded this fact. One trip through ****'s Car Wash took care of the problem. One evening shortly after the purchase, while my wife and I were watching TV, we watched a *** ******** commercial which closed with an annuncement that there was a $1,000.00 rebate which we were not aware of.I contacted ********************* at FW *** via a text message and inquired about the rebate to which he responded, "Im sorry, I will have to look into this. on the surface, ist (sic) appears to be an overseight on our part, however I will have to confirm. Do you have the registration for the trade in? I will need this to confirm. Thanks, ****" I did communicate back an forth with **************** following the intitial contact with much of the conversation looking pretty positive on my behalf, especially when **************** asked me to provide him with the registration of our trade-in which, apparently, *** required for this specific rebate offer. **************** even provided me with his email address to send the document to him. At one point, I received the following text message from ****************: "it is processing, looks like everthing will work, thank you, Herb."I received additional text messages from ****************, at my prompt, mainly asking him what the status of the rebate submission was. Some of the text messages contradicted others. As of this filing of this BBB complaint, June 6, 2024, I have not received the rebate. As of May 20, 2024 I have not heard from ****************.I think there was some disingenuous discussion on ******************** part and some intentional manipulation on FW ***'s part to conceal the rebate in order to become the benefciary and recipient of a rebate that was intended for the buyer.

We reviewed the process and submission of the rebate, which was submitted after the deal was completed.  This process does take longer as usually the rebates are instant and included in the deal.  I am happy to say as of today June 18th, we were able to complete rebate the process. I have confirmation a check for the rebate has been cut and is being mailed out to the customer today. He should receive it this week.  If there are any further inquires regarding this feel free to reach out to me at ************.  Thanks

My wife and I bought a 2018 ***** Silverado **** LT from them back in October. When we purchased the truck they gave us a 45 day plate, ok no problem well that 45 days had come. We told them we would pay it off within a couple days because we should be getting our insurance check from our truck I totaled on my way to work. So within a weel we had the money and sent it to them the entire balance. It took the dealership over 45 days to figure out my wife and I over paid them. Well a month goes by and i call them for 2 weeks straight and no one will answer me i leave a message for the loan manager named **** and still no call back. So to make a long story short i have had my truck sit in my driveway since the 45 days was up because it is illegal to drive. So i finally call and get to talk to **** and he tells me that we over paid them and he has to send the over paid amount back to us to send to the finance company ( after the temporary plate has expired). So my truck has been sitting in my driveway with expired plates for almost a month now because Fort Wayne Kia didn't want to do thier job.

We have reached out to this customer regarding the confusion with the check he wrote us, the payment for the balance, and the overpayment. Ultimately there was a communication breakdown on this from how and when the vehicle was paid for.  Now that it is all clear on our end, we have called and communicated to the customer he will have all the paperwork required for his title work overnighted to him directly.  Again, we are very sorry for the over sight and we will get this correction expedited and resolved immediately.

We purchased a 2023 ****************** from Fort Wayne Kia on 8/29/23. It is 11/7/23 and they still have not provided the paperwork to the *** so that we can have our Registration paperwork done. The temporary license plate they provided expired on 10/13/23 which has left us unable to legally drive the vehIcle. On top of this problem with registration Kia ******* that we have been paying for our loan is threatening to cancel the loan if they dont get the Title from them within ****** days of the purchase date. We have been in contact with *************** their **************** many times regarding this also have escalated this issue to the General Manager at ************. They have given us excuse after excuse mostly indicating its a hold up with their online third party administrators ******* - who we called at ************ and they say the hold up is not with them - it is with the dealership and they opened a case number and reached out to the title department at the dealership to ask them to follow up with us. The last thing the General Manager told us was that their electronic system said the paperwork was sent to the ***. However, since then the Michigan *** at ************ opt 2, opt 2 said, once again, they dont have it.

      Business response

      11/18/2023

We do apologize for the time it took to process the out of state title. The title work is complete, I did double check and it shows a ******** title has been issued.  Because we use a Michigan approved vendor, we don't usually have issues that take this amount of time to get resolved. We would send the paperwork in and they would ask for corrections, and we would redo it and send it back and they would reject it and time to get it back and fixed was weeks at a time.  Our goal is not to upset any customer after the fact because of titles, but we know the ball was dropped for this customer and we do sincerely apologize.

Took car in to service on 9/5/2023 for a transmission noise that a previous auto shop diagnosed that it was coming from transmission.. Being it was a 2021 kia ***** with only ****** miles, they suggested I take it to a KIA ********** to diagnose further.. This is where I took the car and to my surprise, they came back with it not being transmission but the front end alignment and tire balance.. From the start I was already not believing what they said as the noise just didn't make sense.. They swore that's all that was wrong with the car and charged me ******.. Just as I suspected, the noise was still there.. Same exact noise, same exact everything and nothing was changed... I honestly believe they didn't even do any work to the car and don't believe they test drove it after the work was done to verify it was fixed.. Not only that, on 7/7/2023 I took the car there for inspection with ****** miles which is only **** miles until this incident and there was no front end alignment issue.. I did not hit any pot holes or anything that would have cause issue with front end.. What this all boils down to is that im out ****** and having the same exact issue.. The mechanic before said it was a transmission issue and I watched him through a glass window as he inspected the car.. That is something you cant do at ***** I dont trust this ********** and now I will have travel either 60 miles to ********* or 75 to ****** to a KIA **********... Not happy!

      Business response

      09/06/2023

Im sorry that you are still having the same issue. If you would allow us to have a second look at it, I would encourage you to schedule an appointment which I can have you ride with our service manager and verify the noise you are hearing with him.  If we can verify an issue with the transmission and that our original diagnosis was incorrect, I of course would be happy to issue a full refund on the previous bill.

      Customer response

      09/06/2023

I am rejecting this response because: It should have done this after I explained the noise and should have been thorough the first time... Now I have to take the time and make another appointment and have the service technician listen to a noise that should have been detected in the first place... Not only did I bring a receipt from the other shop that I had diagnose it first stating it was coming from transmission.. They did not offer to have me ride with and have them hear the noise and instead dismissed my complaint.. I honestly, do not trust the service at this KIA ************ Like I stated originally, I had taken this car in for an inspection **** miles ago and everything was fine with tires, Alignment and so forth.. I cant believe that everything in **** miles was out.. I also remember them trying to sell me a cabin air filter and engine filter saying they needed changing when in fact I changed both item right after I bought the car.. This shows me they never even checked the condition of the filters..

Im sorry, I just dont trust this dealership to do the right thing..

      Business response

      09/14/2023

I am not going to issue a refund unless we find there is an issue we missed with the transmission.  You brought the vehicle to us, we had a technician drive that vehicle for 20 minutes to try to verify any issues your mechanic stated were with the transmission.  We then put it on the lift and inspected the transmission case and other drive train components. We did not charge you any diagnoses fees for any of it. Our fee for diagnosing mechanical issues is typically $160.00.  We charged you zero diagnosing charges, and for less than we would have charged for diagnosing the issue we did the alignment and rebalancing of the tires.  We recommended replacing the tires if you want the noise to go away. We just started a buy 3 tires get 1 for a ***** sale, now might be a good time.  We also offer financing that is 0 interest for 6 months on any purchase over $350.00. We offer free tire rotations for the life of the tire as well with any purchase.

      Customer response

      09/14/2023

I am rejecting this response because:Well, let me tell you that if he actually drove it for 20 minutes like you state than it would be clear its not tires!! I have a receipt from a local shop that can verify its not tires. The tread on the tires are still very, very good and if you took the time to see that before all of this I was there having the car inspected ******************************************************************** **** miles my tires are trash and the front end is so far out of alignment it makes this odd noise that other mechanic says is transmission.. I watched them inspect this like I said previously I told your advisor all of this and he swore that was the problem even though I knew better and drove off with the same issue I guarantee you guys did not diagnose my car properly and now you want me to buy tires that I dont need just to have the same issue again If this car was not under warranty I would never have brought it to this dealership.. You misdiagnose an issue and then expect your customer to jump threw hoops to bring it back and try to get it right

Fort Wayne Kia sold me a vehicle before they legally owned the title. It has been 51 days since date of sale and Fort Wayne Kia has provided the same response two weeks in a row that they are in the process of sending payment to obtain title. My temporary license plate expired after 30 days and Im unable to legally plate vehicle until Fort Wayne Kia can obtain the title and complete the paperwork. I have filed complaint at the legal.sos.in.gov site to request another temporary license tag.

We have had issues getting the title from the previous lien holder.  They were to mail us the title and never have, and they cannot find it.  At this point we have requested a duplicate title and for a lien release from the previous bank.  We expect to have the title back this week for processing.

I purchased a 2021 Dodge chargers RT on 8-18-22 and I was forced to buy products I didnt want that supposedly had to come with the car. ***** **** ************** for ****** and a ******* appearance protect for ******!!! The sales lady was great but the sales manager was very forceful and unpleasant. He told me he couldnt remove those two items after I repeatedly said I didnt want them. He tried to force me to take the extended warranty which I refused several times. The guy was beyond pushy. He also ran my credit after I was already pre approved from my own bank when I was told that they would not. I am seeking full reimbursement for these two products that I said I did not want. Please and thank you

On 8/7/21 I bought a new car at Fort Wayne Kia. It was almost closing time. The new vehicle was pulled up to the staging area to transfer contents. As I was signing the paperwork, my boyfriend was transferring items from my old vehicle into the new. Several employees were outside at the time and my boyfriend commented that he needed to go pay the down payment, which was $2,000. One of the employees offered to take the payment so that he could continue transferring items. Fast-forward a week and a half later and I get a call that says they need me to come pay the down payment because they can't find the money or a receipt, and to also provide 2 proofs of residence. I had emailed proof of residence twice already that they can't find (proof shown today) and I paid in cash that I had saved outside a bank. Because their employee didn't give a receipt, and they can't find the money, I had to pay the $2000 again or they wouldn't process the title work.

      Business response

      08/30/2021

Please have your boyfriend come in and help us find out who he claims he gave the money to.  We have no record of any receipt. You didn't give the money to one of our cashiers, or business managers, or even your sales person.  We have no way of knowing if the person he said he gave it to is even one of our employees.  We take this accusation very seriously, and if there is someone working here that did take money from your boyfriend, we need his cooperation to resolve it.

I called Ft Wayne *** to cancel the Autoguard vehicle service contract on my new car. ********************* had me go in on 1/25/2021 to sign the cancellation papers; he said it may take a month or two for the credit to show up on my statement. It had not been credited to my account, so on 4/16/21 I called Autoguard. After they checked the Contract # they said they didn't even show it as being activated or cancelled since they had not received any paperwork yet. I called *** and **** said he would make sure it was processed.I called Autoguard on 6/8/21 and they still did not show anything about the contract. I called *** and **** said he would check it out. He called back and said they had a personnel change and it had been missed, but he would get it processed.I still have not seen it on my statements.
